Justin’s friend Kayden got baptized just before Justin. It was a fun day and exciting for Justin to see what’s coming for him!
We are glad to have good friends making good choices!

It’s fun to have older kids and babies at the same time. Ryan and I have seen 5 babies fall asleep in the middle of dinner time after time, but the kids haven’t and get a hoot out of Rett doing it.
He does it a couple times a month probably and we laugh our heads off and usually wake him up! Fun times!

I guess this is the only picture I took at Thanksgiving. Grandpa spoiled Justin and brought his little four wheeler. It went around and around non stop!
We were lucky and got to have both grandparents at our house! Mike was still too injured to travel and everyone else local was out of town so we got all the grandmas and papas! It was a nice quiet day, we enjoyed it!

Ashley has been in full swing basketball/cheer season. She loves it. It has been so much nicer this year only having to go to school 4 days, we have Friday to help re-coup from the week. Ash is getting so much better at both sports, its fun to watch!
Although sometimes I have to close my eyes…..

Grandpa had his birthday shortly after his accident. We are sure glad he is healing up from falling 20 feet off of a ladder! Shannon was around, just not in the picture, and Sara was at church meetings.

Sunday morning I was running around like normal, my routine is usually get the kids all ready and then myself. I was headed into my bathroom, I rounded the corner and kicked the door. My little pinky toe just popped right out. It was pretty scary. Mainly because I did not want to go to the hospital!
Ashley and the kids took good care of me. I called Ryan in the middle of his meetings and he ran home (rolling his eyes). He took one look and then a deep breath and said, “oh.” I think he thinks I make things out to be worse then they are. This one wasn’t the case. He was nervous, I felt better just having him there. That is until he told me he was going to pull on it and put it back into place. He gave me a blessing, I cried and then told him he gets one chance! He did it! Thankfully! It really didn’t hurt much at all, thankfully. It is still sore today though 2 months later? I’m glad to have a smarty pants husband and great kids to take care of me!

Ashley has always been our entertainer, but when it comes to little kids Emma entertains the best! She got her sidekick Jaci to help do experiment after experiment. I cant remember why they were over, that’s what happens when you take a month off from blogging! Oops! Anyway Emma did great keeping the kids busy. I do remember it was a fun day!

I had these two pictures of the boys blown up to put above their beds. They turned out really good. We love them.

I hastily made a life changing decision a few weeks ago. I have tried 3 times to take the crib down and just couldn’t do it. I like the freedom the crib gives me. Rett’s big boy bed has been leaning against the office wall for months now and I couldn’t stand not being able to navigate the office so I took down the crib and put up the bed. In perfect hindsight I should have left the crib up until this adjusting is over. I realized this at nap time the first day! The crib is in pieces and cant be put back together or I would have brought it back in and put it up. It was on its last leg, another reason I wanted it down now!
The last 2 weeks were a nightmare, in our bed, out of our bed, in the fridge, downstairs, all. night. long!! I had no where to contain him anymore! I finally put a door lock on the inside of the boys room so he couldn’t get out. So now he is Justin’s problem, not mine!
He still is in our room in the night, once we get him to sleep then I open the door freeing him to roam from his room to ours. He is pretty good now at staying on the floor. A few of our kids have slept on the floor and then finally get tired of it and stay in their bed. He doesn’t seem to be such a quick learner though. You would think after having 5 kids I would be a pro at this but Rett is a kid all his own, as were each of the others! Im going to miss this, right??

We have been car shopping (well for over a year now, Kiley should have left me her old car in Nebraska a year ago!!) The kind of cars that are in my budget end up looking something like this:
I want a cute (not a project) car, anyone know of a good one? I guess the hunt continues!

We were making cookies Sunday afternoon until Rett dumped out all of the baking soda!
He was pretty upset that I would sweep up and throw away his fun!

We got our first snow. It came on a Saturday, perfect for playing in. Perfect chance to go through the snow clothes too. Justin has pink boots and Claire has transformer ones. Hopefully it wont snow again before birthdays or Christmas!
Rett stayed out and stayed out, I was surprised. Emma pulled him all around the yard in the sled. Ashley finally brought the little snowman back in. He was pretty frosty!
But not done playing, he cried at the door, wanting back out!
Its wintertime!

I got to pick up Christine and London from the airport in Boise. London is such a pretty baby. So nice and feminine.
The kids loved her too.
She didn’t love the kids so much.
Such a pretty baby!
It was so fun to visit with Christine too.

Rett got his first turn at blind mans bluff. He thought it was fun for a minute. We all thought it was fun to laugh at him! It was pretty funny.

Rett and I try to make it a habit of going through the car wash but he still just cant get used to it. I had comforters with me today, but he still got upset with all the noise.
Pretty soon he will be trying to figure out how it all works instead of being afraid!

Rett had some cousins over on office day while grandpa and grandma were at the hospital. What a treat!
These are Mark and Paige’s kids, Paxton and Sicily. They were so good. They reminded me of our kids when they were little, just quiet and nice. (well who am I kidding, they were better than our kids when they were little!!) It was fun to have some playmates for Rett, he enjoyed them too.
