Ryan sat Wynn up in the corner of the couch while we played the family night game. He looked so big we had to take pictures!

Rett got his first turn at blind mans bluff. He thought it was fun for a minute. We all thought it was fun to laugh at him! It was pretty funny.
This is the best part about my new oven. I didn’t know we were missing out on so much having one with out a window and light. Rett and I are usually both found looking like this;
I really don’t know who enjoys it more, me or him! To bad those aren’t Grandma’s cookies inside….. Gluten free pumpkin cookies is more our style lately. They were still yummy, or we were desperate for a treat!?
I love that fall has so many activities and good things to do. Ryan got rained out Monday night so he came home early enough to carve pumpkins. The girls jumped right in and got theirs all cleaned out,
Justin on the other hand….
Ryan couldn’t stand that his man child needed rubber gloves, (Justin takes after his neat freak Dad). He made Justin take the gloves off, it was funny, at least all the girls thought it was funny!
Claire didn’t like the feel of the inside either, but she definitely didn’t need gloves!

The whole crew Fall 2012.
We have a friend who’s granddaughter knows how to play the viola, and since we didn’t even know what one was we asked her to come play it for us!
She was really good and played a few tunes for us, even some we knew!
Each of the kids had to take a turn also.
It was a fun little evening and I love being able to expose the kids to different types of instruments and music. It was great!
We held our family night outside this week. Rett wasn’t a big fan, and didn’t hold still for very long. He is doing the stink bug crawl.

Oh how we love these warm summer days!
We made tin foil dinners last night and didn’t get to hang around the fire very long before the pivot started spraying us. We were just to the smores part. We had them laying out all nice ready to go on the table when it hit! Ryan and I had soggy grahams!
Emma couldn’t resist the cool down. We didn’t have to worry about putting the fire out!
We had a great flamily night. I just love how the kids are really getting into it. I want to document how much they love being together because I am sure it will be short lived (like when they become teenagers). They all do their part and we usually have a great time together. After flamily night (that is how we say it around here) Ryan started into the stack of story books.
We also have Jaci over for a few days while her parents are gone.

The big kids were headed out to go sledding after school and they asked if they could go out in the pasture by the road. I told them to just watch out for any strange cars (we have had a creeper around here, well a couple of weeks ago anyway). After they went over the fence they all kneeled down together and said a prayer, at Ashley’s request of course! It was a proud parent moment for me. I was already having an overwhelming feeling of love for them as they bounced out across the lawn and then they did that. I just love my babies, they are good kids, I am blessed to be their mommy.
I found a recipe for Sonic’s Cherry Limeades and wanted to make them for Family Night. They were not as good as the real thing but we still ate them UP!
We had to try out Justin’s new scooter and it is just to freezing to ride outside so we went into the church and rode in the gym. I am hoping that is not against the rules! We had a great time though, I was so nervous about getting a broken arm and Ashley fell hard right after we got there, but luckily we made it out in one piece!
Some major concentration! This barbie bike (Claire calls it Dora bike) has been the best investment! It is always popular and has survived all 4 kids so far!

I couldn’t resist trying one of the scooters, they go fast! I could hardly balance on it either. I better stick to walking!
