The girls performed again (the same dance) at the ball game. They have a great time doing this dance. It is fun!
Emma looked like she was straight out of the 70’s
They are learning a new country dance. They are excited for it!

Claire had her first ballet dance. It was quite darling! She is second from the end.
Our little ballerina!

We went with Ryan up to Pocatello for potato meetings and the Ag show. We always love a chance to stay in a hotel and go swimming! Plus we had lots of cousins come too, it was fun to all be there together.
Can you see Ryan and the kids in front of the Holt arena?
I think there were plenty of tractors for Rett, Justin and Ryan to check out.
It was a quick trip but we had a great time! Until next year!

We were headed out the door and little brother found an empty cupboard to climb all the way into!
Church was great. We lost a little boy in our ward that was Justin’s age. He stopped breathing in the night, we haven’t heard why yet. It has been sad. Justin just keep saying, but what if he isn’t dead mom? I feel so sad, he was a sweet boy.
We had Ward Conference, it was good to have our Stake visitors there. The lessons were really good. Claire gave the scripture and prayer in primary. She did good.
Ryan took her hair out of her bun and it looked like a beauty pageant contestant!
Minus the grape juice mustache!
Ash and Emma’s games were in Carey Saturday. Emma’s team was ahead the whole game and lost in the last minute! It was a fun game. She is in front of the ref with a red cheer bow in her hair.
Ashley’s team won, I was to into the game to take a picture.
We pulled out all the stops for these games. We had a backpack full of distractions. It worked great until devices started going dead!
This boy is a Dora lover just like his sisters!

Ashley and Emma performed the other night. It was quite cute, a few mess ups, but they loved this dance and had a great time!
Emma and Serena.

Claire, Rett, and I have just been hanging out at home. We have some trips coming up at the end of the month that we are excited about. I did paint our bedroom, and have been helping Ryan with the downstairs when he comes home but other than that just every day stuff. The chickens are back on the eggs. Every single one laid and egg today. We have been getting a few here and there, but today they finally all produced.
The kids have been enjoying the snow. Justin and Emma decided to lick a metal pipe that had delicious looking frost on it. It didn’t go so well!
Emma was SCREAMING crying, Justin didn’t cry at all. Justin’s tongue really bled for a while. Ashley said haven’t you ever seen that movie a Christmas Story? I was trying my best not to laugh. It really did hurt them! Some things you have to learn the hard way I guess!

We woke up to some freezing cold temps. It was –14 when we were driving to church. We were feeling the cold in the house too. All the kids ate breakfast then went back to Claire’s bed. It was COLD!
Emma was not liking all of the morning breath.
We were happy to get to go to church, all of church. It has been a couple of weeks for me since we have been sick. Which Rett is doing great, not a cough or sniffle. I hope to keep him this way. Grandma Telford came up to visit and we spent the evening over at Bobby and Sara’s. We haven’t seen them since Christmas time. The kids enjoyed running together. It was a great Sunday.
So Ryan came in from work and said all day on NPR they have been talking about this Downton Abbey show. What is it about. I was ALL over that! I have only started the first season and havent watched much of it. I ordered it right away and it is our latest flick. Ryan even approves!
I need to get season 2 ordered!

The girls games didn’t go to well this week. They both lost, by a lot. It was pretty dis-heartening for Emma. Not so much the loss but we only had 5 girls show up so she had to run the entire game! She was so tired and sweating! It was great for her, she just didn’t think so! It was tough to want to run and work hard when we were loosing by 20 points.
Ash is totally different. She is pretty aggressive and wants to play more but doesn’t get to, well not as much as we would like. Her game was a hard one too, but she sure loves to play.

The insurance claims are starting to roll in now.
And guess how much they are paying today.
I am so excited to see the rest of the bills come in. Yuck!

I have been wanting to update our bedding and found some that I really liked. The only problem now is that I have to change the entire bedroom, everything is brown, now I need it to be gray. I guess I need a new project.
Rett woke up and was looking for Dadda. He pointed at the pillows, Dadda, Mamma, over and over.
He obviously has spent a few nights in our bed. I am hoping to get a new bedroom set soon too, I just have to decide what I want. Erica what is the name of the gray paint you used in your Greybull master bedroom? Nighty night!

It has been nice to get back to a normal schedule. Laundry, Dora, blogging, mommy school, dinners, practices, just the everyday stuff. Claire was determined to make some cupcakes using Ashley’s Christmas present (cupcake tin, papers, decorating stuff). She mixed up the cake mix all by herself. I was amazed!
She was nervous to use the mixer but she did it just great. I don’t know why but this makes me a little sad. Another kid growing up to fast.
Rett picked out his own shirt, which was Justin’s tractor shirt. He is eating his yogart and adding salt to it at the same time. Yum!
We have been happy to stay home and just be us.

Ryan is at it. I tried to discourage it, well a little, I want to make some progress on this house too. The basement wall just wasn’t my fist choice. Beautiful smoothly textured wall….
That is no longer with us.
I am happy to be opening it up, it will be so nice when it is finished…..
Key word there is FINISHED.
Right as he was finishing tearing it out he got the call that we will be shipping potatoes in two days, for the next 6 months. I haven’t seen him in the daylight since. YIKES! I am really nervous as to how long this is going to be torn up. My poor house! Hopefully I can find someone who knows how to build walls soon. Oh dear.

We are into elementary basketball season. Both girls are playing. I have loved it this year, there aren’t many girls on the teams which equals lots of playing time, and lots of experience. Emma was looking pretty tired in the second quarter but she got her second wind and lasted the rest of the game. She likes it, all except the touching part. She isn’t much for getting close, here is an example;
They are in a huddle, well all of them but Emma. She is a snuggly girl (with her mom anyway) but she did NOT want to be near anyone, including her friends. She told me she realizes it and try’s to get close but just cant. Poor girl. She had a great time though her friend Serena made basket after basket, we are glad she is on our team! It is always fun to play against cousins, Emma was talking it up with Megan every chance she got.
Ash played lots too, she is in better shape though and did good keeping up. She was happy to guard a really good girl and kept her from scoring. She only fell three times. Her knees were finally all healed up, but aren’t anymore. Grandma Telford was there and doctored her right up. We have games every Saturday for 5 weeks. I hope we can stand it!

Ryan has been working lots, (yuck). He even worked Sunday and had to miss church, it was weird. We were happy to see him when he got home.
So glad to have our busy boy back!
Ryan got the snowmobile out and gave the kids rides around the yard. The girls don’t like it when he tips on his side. Justin loves it when he tips on his side.
This girl loves the snow and is always freezing when she comes in!
We are hoping for a little bit warmer weather. It has been really cold!
