The pivot construction is moving slower than I hoped, but it is now standing up! I cant believe how excited this makes me! It is also all officially planted in oats too, so I hope that pivot gets finished, because it has a crop to water now!I don't know if you can tell but it is VERY crooked, Ryan assured me that they will straighten it all out before it runs, I hope so!

Jenna's got talent!
Jenna took this DARLING picture of Claire at Christine's wedding reception. She is just trying her hand at this photography thing, but I think she definitely has talent! Thanks for the super cute shot Jenna, Keep it up, I love it!

Not FAIR!
My mom just sent pictures of her beautiful, green, luscious yard and garden. Do you think maybe some day when I grow up I can have a pretty yard too?
My grass isn't even green yet, let alone any flowers blooming! What would it be like to not live in the desert, the COLD desert I might add!

I'm figuring it out!
My coupon shopping is getting better, it isn't so crazy and scary anymore. I have gotten myself and my coupons organized a lot better and so today went really smooth. I also didn't buy a TON, so that helps too, I am not PROFESSIONAL by any means, and I am sure there are better deals out there, but I think we did pretty good today, check out my finds! (and all my hard work!)
Smiths: I spent $15.07, and saved $35.24, That is a savings of 71%, not too shabby! Yeah, we like brownies.......
Albertsons; I spent $36.38, I saved $107.25, check out that loot! The table was almost full, just room for the girls in back. They really liked to organize all of the groceries for me, and they even write the date on them and put them away on the shelves too! I love having big girl helpers!

Kool-Aid anyone?
Justin tried to make himself some kool-aid today. He opened 6 packages and poured them in his Thomas cup. I let him have it, I wanted to see his reaction. It took only one sip and he was saying "this is too spicy". Crazy kid!

Not too busy
For a game of Go Fish! Ryan has been SUPER busy this week. Spring is really in FULL swing. He and Bobby have been planting sugar beets 24 hours a day...YUCK! It is hard to be alone at night, I end up with at least 2 other bodies in my bed, the two biggest. Ashley and Emma don't like it when Dad is gone either, so Ryan has been rolling in about 3:30 am (when he does come home, he stayed down at his parents one night). They have one big day left to get it all done. I wish the potato planting was getting close, but it has just started. We have about 300 acres planted and about 1000 more to go. Lonely days! Ryan did stop for 5 minutes to play a game with Justin, Justin and I have been into the cards big time this past week, we get some mean games of Go Fish, Rummy, and Match going on. He can beat me at Match...my poor brain! As you can tell he takes his games VERY seriously!

Pivot Construction Day 1
Ryan called to ask how the pivot construction was going, I told him it is up on its knees now. That is better than laying on the ground! We are so excited to have our own little 80 acre field in production this year. I just wish we had some water in the reservoir to run that pivot around...

Magic Reservoir Spring 2009
We took our annual trip to the Reservoir after Stake Conference last Sunday. We were sorely disappointed at the water levels again. We hear all of the low predictions but we don't think they can be right until we drive out there and see how low it really is. It is about the same (in my eyes) as it was the 4th of July last year. That is with already pumping 2-2 1/2 months worth of water out of it! Needless to say we need some RAIN! We always enjoy the trip and picnic, and cant wait to go camping out there on the 4th!

FIRE! FIRE!
We had a little fire yesterday. One of Ryan's guys was burning corn stalks and stubble and it got out of control........ Ryan doesn't get mad about much, but yesterday he got MAD, luckily he wasn't there or he may have gotten REALLY mad. Everyone is OK though, so that is what is important. Just another (hopefully not so ordinary) day on the farm!

Christine + Jared = True Love 4-ever!
Christine and Jared got married! It was a long busy day, but everything turned out really nice. She was BEAUTIFUL, like always! It was hard for.....well all of us to let our little Bean go. She has grown up TOO fast for us all I think. We went down to SLC late Thursday night and stayed in a little hotel close to Temple square, (of course I had a coupon for that), Mark and Paige rode down and stayed with us too. They were married at 9:40 am, we all went to lunch and then drove back to Idaho for the reception that night. We got to Dietrich at 5:00 and had to finish preparing everything for that night. One nice thing about having all of those brothers is that there are just as many sister in laws to help get everything organized. It turned out so fun, we really transformed the Grange into a fun party hall. People were amazed, and so was I really! I have tons of pictures but of course none of the "finished" reception hall, by the time I remembered to take one it was FULL of people!
The Happy Couple!
Christine and Shannon, what a beautiful mother of the bride! Can you believe she is a grandma of 20 grand kids!
The Family, check out all those handsome boys! (we were only missing one brother)
Here they all are again!
And all of the Sister in Laws (and one sister April)
Lots of nephews,
Even more Nieces.....
Catching the bouquet, Ashley caught it, she was so thrilled! Aunt Sara made it, it was gorgeous!
Claire spent most of the time here wanting more "nandy" (Candy)

FOR SALE
Our driveway looks like a used car lot lately, we sold Ryan's blue GMC work pickup but still have the green Ford to sell, then we will be down to ONLY 3 cars. Two pickups (the new white Ford and the Duramax), and then my suburban. The kids asked me why we have so many pickups, I told them because Dad likes pickups, Emma said Dad must REALLY love pickups because he has a lot of them. There is something to be said about boys and their toys.... But seriously, It's a nice pickup, call me if you want to be the new proud owner! Ryan has tried to GIVE it away twice already, good thing I am around to keep him grounded. I guess he thinks every boy should have a toy!

Easter Baskets
Here is the loot from the Easter basket hunts. Ryan hid them well again this year, but those girls are getting smarter and smarter! Emma and a new game.
Ashley and her Littlest Pet Shop video game, this has been a GREAT reminder to me why we don't do video games, she has hardly set it down, except when she some how "misplaces" it.
Justin got a Dinoco Blue Chic Hicks, a big one, not a mini. He was very specific about what he wanted.
Claire got a walking Egg and a dress. I didn't do Easter dresses for everyone this year because last year I bought them all one (at full price) and then a week after Easter I got them another one for a quarter of the price, so I am hoping to find some good deals on dresses this week.

Prom hair 2009
Last Saturday was Prom, I helped Danielle with her hair, which turned out DARLING. We also schaperoned, which we have done quite a bit but this Prom by far was the best! The kids dancing was SO much better, I might re-consider our decision of NEVER letting our girls go to the Prom, just kidding, but the dancing these days....GROSS! I was pleasantly surprised that it so much improved! Way to go kids!

Town Easter Egg Hunt
We actually had nice weather for the town Easter egg hunt this year, and there was no snow, lots of water, but no snow! How cool, I didn't get any pictures of the big girls, Ryan went with them to hunt and I took the camera with me, they all did good, they were hoping to get a prize egg for a free movie rental, but not so this year. Justin and Claire Bear

Coloring Easter Eggs
We dyed a few eggs of our own, I am not really sure why, I guess tradition is why. We had SO many eggs from school and every where else we didn't really need them, but you have to dye eggs for Easter! We had some cousins come join us, it was fun!Emma had had enough for the week and had a major melt down because she wanted a red egg and Ashley was using it. I made her lay in her bed, (after trying to reason with her for 5 minutes) and she went right to sleep, poor girl was EXHAUSTED. So she dyed her eggs after her nap, and she was MUCH happier then, school is really tiring for a six year old!

Check out that strawberry patch, and a man who weeds-what more could a woman want!
