Car Shopping

We have been car shopping (well for over a year now, Kiley should have left me her old car in Nebraska a year ago!!)  The kind of cars that are in my budget end up looking something like this:

I want a cute (not a project) car, anyone know of a good one?  I guess the hunt continues!

Broken Down

The suburban started running rough when we were headed out for our family vacation.  Luckily we hadn’t left Burley yet.   We ended up leaving it at the repair place and driving Shannon’s car on the trip.  Thankfully.

We tried to do some repairs on our own at the the les scwab, Rett liked the big trucks inside.

It was a valiant effort, but we ended up having to put a new transfer case in it.  Always an adventure on our trips!

SOLD!

Also this busy weekend, I was able to get the old Suburban sold, I have had it sold 2 or 3 times, but these people finally showed me the money!  I actually was a little sad, I know weird!

Cleaning

We spent the last two weeks of May CLEANING! The sad thing is it still isn't done, I guess it will never really be done! We have been getting ready for the Sister Reunion and I was glad to have the girls finally get out of school so they could help. We not only cleaned the house but spent a few good hours on both the Suburban and the Duramax. We were heading out on our trip after the sister reunion so I had to have the sub cleaned. I think the kids had more fun finding "treasures" then they did helping clean! I used to love to go dig through the seats of the old station wagon out in the pasture, that was great times, we always could find a crusty m&m or a quarter or something good!
Oh to be a kid again! Emma was the photographer on all of these, she also snapped a great one of my new lawn mower, I have been enjoying it!

Not a Good Sign

Our old semi broke down on Monday. The mechanic came out to look at it and couldn't figure it out so it was off to the dealership. I don't think we have ever paid to have ANYTHING towed, that was harder for Ryan to swallow than ALL the repairs were. It is running again already, which is good, we are getting into the busy straw/harvest season so we need it. Maybe I should take my suburban there to get fixed? It has been almost 3 weeks with out it and I am tired of driving a MAN sized pickup around, it is horrible to park, and I like sitting alone in the front seat, no kids trying to run the radio, and it is just not my suburban. We will be glad to get it back, if, and when we ever do.....

FOR SALE

Our driveway looks like a used car lot lately, we sold Ryan's blue GMC work pickup but still have the green Ford to sell, then we will be down to ONLY 3 cars. Two pickups (the new white Ford and the Duramax), and then my suburban. The kids asked me why we have so many pickups, I told them because Dad likes pickups, Emma said Dad must REALLY love pickups because he has a lot of them. There is something to be said about boys and their toys.... But seriously, It's a nice pickup, call me if you want to be the new proud owner! Ryan has tried to GIVE it away twice already, good thing I am around to keep him grounded. I guess he thinks every boy should have a toy!
