Ashley's jeans were to tight to climb the wall any higher.... I feel like I am starring at myself in a mirror 22 years ago! Ashley is so ME! She wants to please everyone and is super help. She is really excited for a Cheer Clinic at school next week. She doesn't have a lot of "funnies" anymore, she is so mature and knowledgeable about EVERYTHING! She keeps us all in line!

Justin

He has got to do what his big sisters do, he will NOT be left out! Yesterday morning he was being especially mean to Claire, teasing, throwing balls at her, anything to make her cry. Later in the day I told him he was being a really good boy now, why were you being so mean earlier? He said he ate too much mean candy and it makes him be mean to Claire, but he is not going to eat any more candy so he can be nice! If it only really worked!

Emma

Yesterday when Emma got home from school she climbed up on the counter to "help" wash strawberries. Well I have a faucet the leaks when I run the water for a long time, I need to just get another one to replace it, but I never do, anyway she sat in water on the counter and said, "Mom we have got to call a plunger." OH Emma! She is full of funnies!

She figured out she could climb the walls this morning, I am so thrilled! This new trick is right up there with sliding down the stairs on pillows, SO FUN!

Forced into Productivity

We have been so productive today! It feels good! Spring MUST be around the corner, right!? Justin and Claire helped me get ready for the baby shower tonight (for a friend here in town). Justin helped wash the strawberries, Claire ate the strawberries, and I photographed it all! Don't you just ♥ strawberries! And Claire makes the BEST Strawberry Shortcake! Today we managed to exercise, set up for the shower, do the baking for the shower, 3 batches of laundry, keep the house clean, and update the blog, whewww, I'm tired, So is Claire, she is down for a nap, which is not the norm anymore, sadly. Now if we could only have days like this oh, I don't know, I would be happy with once a week! I don't have very high expectations of myself and my little helpers! Hopefully the shower will turn out, and people turn out too! I have lots of clean strawberries to dip in that yummy chocolate fountain!

Look Whats for Dinner!

Claire has not been feeling herself lately. She isn't sick, although she did have a slight fever one evening? I don't know, maybe she is sick....She has been waking up early and needing a drink and then gets in our bed and rolls around with Ryan and I until morning comes. Yesterday I finally just got up with her and she was much happier. She has been very snuggly and has carried "blank" around with her everywhere. Anytime she doesn't have it she says she is cold and needs blank. I kind of like this melow personality. We have been having lots of nuggles and just lots of lap time, maybe the old Claire is back? Maybe her two-year-old personality is no longer.........wishful thinking! Here she is laying on the table? Just taking a rest! Silly girl!

Emma Takes Center Stage

Emma wanted to put on a play of her own last night. (at school they are doing a play) It was quite interesting! Ryan's comment was someone needs some attention! I think he was right! It was a musical, she danced and sang making up the words as she went. Justin and Claire got to dance a little, (Claire was holding the barbie toilet clapping with the lid the whole time, it was fuNNNNY! I was the lucky one called from the audience to join her on stage, so fun!

Canning in the winter?

Ryan helped me can 35 quarts of applesauce last week. We were both tired, but so happy we got it done! This is just one of the many things that went on last week. The girls were out of school most of the week for girls basketball tournaments, which btw our girls are STATE CHAMPS! Two years in a row! Mom and Dad, Trish, and Aunt Kathy came to my house on the way to my cousins Tyler's funeral. Bret came also, so we had a little house full on Tuesday night, which was nice to see everyone. (mom brought all the apples for the applesauce) Justin, Claire and I went for a little walk this morning to see if we had any "signs of spring." I was VERY pleasantly surprised we have something (not sure what) coming up out in the flower beds! We were really excited and hooping and hollering! We LOVE Spring! Too bad it was -4 this morning.....still feels like spring to us though! It has been a busy good week!

School Valentine Parties

Happy Valentines Day!

This year instead of a candy treat we gave the kids a little toy, I was thinking we DO NOT need any more treats especially Sunday morning before church! They each enjoyed their surprise, Ryan and I laid in bed listening to them finding their surprises on each of their places at the table, they were so cute! Ashley saw hers first and then woke Emma, then Ash got Claire out of her crib to show her and then they HAD to wake Justin to show him his train. Their comments were sweet and happy, and I got a nice smoocher from Justin! It was a nice Sunday!

I Got My Flights

I got my flight to Seattle, an overpass (bridge) is being dedicated to my big brother over spring break. I am excited, and not excited.... I cant wait to see everyone there, Erica, did you get your flights? Kiley are you coming? I will fly in Thursday (just me) and flight out Saturday.

Bumps and Bruises

Ashley came home from school yesterday with a CRUSTY bloody nose and a super bloody white coat....She and her friend Shelby fell down at the same time and Ash hit her nose on Shelby's head. OUCH! Blood everywhere from both nostrils, and sore loose front teeth. I asked her if Shelby cried or if she was OK? She didn't know, all she could hear was herself crying! Oh Ash! Her other friend was helping her get to the teacher on duty and was saying ewww, eww the whole time so another (boy) friend offered to take her because he gets bloody noses all the time and is used to that kinda stuff. Ashley's friend said "no she is my friend I will take her, ewww, ewww." Girls and their DRAMA!

Then today Emma came home with a good shiner. She hit her head on the bar on the teeter totter. My poor clumsy girls!

100th Day of School

The girls dressed up like they were 100 years old today, they thought it was so fun! We put baby powder in their hair and we had powder going EVERYWHERE this morning! So fun! They are doing all sorts of fun activities today. Emma had to take 100 items, the only thing I had 100 of was cheese itz, gross I know, I didn't even have 100 chocolate chips, or marshmallows or anything, time to go grocery shopping!
So we (Claire and I, Justin got invited to go to work with Dad to day) went in to have lunch with the girls and party with them at school.We started out with Emma's class, we read a story about the 100th day of school and then tried to build the biggest tower with 100 cups,Check out that little boy- that reaction is PRICELESS! The tower fell, twice actually, everyone else's did too, it was just a fun exercise anyway.
Then off to Ashley's class they were making valentine boxes. Ashley already has one at home so she was just helping her friend.
Then we went down to PE, I even got in on a little capture the flag action, I wasn't much help though, (I couldnt run very fast carrying Claire, she was ready for a nap...not that I can run fast anyway:( ) our team lost..... Super fun day at school though! Ash and Emma both have REALLY fun teachers, fun times!

Ashley and Emma made their teacher gifts last night. Justin and Claire got to help paint too. We are excited for school parties this week!

Sure Sign of SUMMER!

This fun little message in a bottle came in the mail today, time already to start planning for the Telford Family Vacation this summer! I am dreaming of warmer days! What a cute invitation April created! Looks like it will be a pirate theme, check out that treasure map! Cant wait to go to Lagoon, I think I love it as much as the kids! Thanks for all the info April! We cant wait!!! ARRRRRR MATEY!

Emma The Basketball STAR!

Not really, but she did go to a fun basketball camp and got a super cool basketball, (it has brought so much joy into our busy little home, I am just thrilled with it......not really.....) She had a great time and begged to go, her ONLY complaint was her hair bow, "you don't wear hair bows to play basketball mom" If you are my kid you do Emma! Ash was begging NOT to go, but she would love to wear the bow???? Every child is definitely NOT the same! Thank goodness really! Emma had a great time!

Spokane Trip

We just got back from Washington, we had a great time. The kids enjoyed a couple of days with Grandma Nielson and I enjoyed a couple of days away from them! I would have liked one more day to do nothing, but we had to get back to real life I guess. I didn't take one picture, Ryan took one of me, but it isn't pretty and I am not posting it.....I was too busy reading/shopping/eating to remember to take pictures I guess. The Davenport Hotel was as beautiful as always, cant wait to go again next year! Thanks Grandma for babysitting!
