The kids got home from school and discovered this little guy on the INSIDE of the door!
No body would take care of him.
Justin made Rett touch it and everyone screamed and jumped when the froggy jumped.
Good thing Ashley isn’t scared of critters, she scooped him up and let him go outside. Yay for summer!
We have had lots of pretty weather lately. It has been really warm and then the clouds roll in and we would have an afternoon (small) storm. We wish it was more rain, but it has been pretty anyway. This night we ended up with a double rainbow!
I even got all the kids out of bed to show them, (and that I NEVER do) but it was too cool not to see!

The kids have been begging to shoot bb guns. I finally just let them go out and do it themselves. They did fine, Ryan has taught them to be cautious and not to shoot each other. Hopefully they wont shoot a kitty or chicken either! Justin technically doesn’t have a gun, but some how has made what’s left of Ryan’s original bb gun. It is just the barrel no stock, but he makes it work. I think we will get him one for his 8th birthday.
They can even knock the cups off now.
It worked good until little brother figured out what was going on and came over.
Justin tried to run him off but it didn’t work to well.
We are happy to have some non windy spring days.
We have been hoping and praying for some moisture this spring. We have had lots of wind and cold, but no rain. There has been rain all around, but none for us, we are getting really nervous for farming this summer. We had the potato rows that were marked out last fall disked under. No potatoes in Richfield this summer, which is a big bummer.
This morning it started spitting snow and rain, like it has in the past and I thought it wouldn’t amount to much again. But this afternoon it really started to snow! We were so excited. Claire dug out all of her snow clothes and got to business!

I just love my tree. It is such a pretty little Russian Olive. Usually a wild unruly tree, but ours has been taken care of when it was younger and is the perfect back yard tree. We love it, and it looked especially pretty in a coat of white! We are hoping for more moisture still!
We spent Easter at Mom’s house. Ryan drove up late Saturday night and spent Sunday with us, it was nice of him, and I’m sure he didn’t want to spend the day alone.

It was fun to try and find our Easter baskets in mom’s kitchen, lots of different hiding places than normal! It was a great day!
With our great weather we decided to have a hot dog roast. Mom has a great fire pit in the back yard. Everyone took lots of turns helping with Rett. He of course was not happy to just stay on the grass, he wanted to be in the driveway, headed to the road, kicking car tires, anywhere but safe! Ren took his turn pushing him in the swing.

So Doug had a great idea for the mom’s to have a race, Im not sure where Erica is, she raced too.
Jen won, I strained a muscle, but it was fun.
The oldest grandkids re-enacted a picture from when they were tiny tots, it was fun. They are all getting way to old for my liking!

Ashley is definitely trying to be a teenager, especially when hanging around her older cousins.
The weather was fantastic, perfect for spring break!
Sara and I pulled together our donut party again this year. We made 200 donuts and had over 50 people over. It was great! We love this tradition!
Emma did most of the work on mixing the dough.
