Pocatello Trip

The kids love to go to Pocatello for an overnighter.  Ryan goes to the potato schools and we come the last night and stay with him and go to the Ag show.  Rett was so excited, he wanted a map to see where Pocatello is.  He was an excellent backseat driver!

Justin and Rett found this Polaris car? and had to have a picture to send to Uncle Cody.  The Ag show is always a fun treat.

But the best is swimming and swimming in the bear hotel!

The pool has this waterfall with a bear up on top.  The kids love it. We stay the same place every year, the past two years we have rented a sweet so everyone has a bed.  It is much nicer not to cram into a regular hotel room.

The kids!  Marks family, Jareds family, Aaron, and Mike were also there.  It is like a mini family reunion!

We are already looking forward to next year!

Telford Family Vacation

This year Tyler and Lain hosted the family vacation.  We went up in the mountains behind Preston.  It was a really fun place.  We went on the best hike, I couldn’t believe how lush and green it was.  It reminded me of Hawaii, or back east (not that I have been to either place)  But it was like a rain forest and very humid.  It was crazy but so pretty!  We hiked all the way to where the Cub River came out of the mountain.  Everyone drank straight from the stream, it was crazy!  We had everyone but Jake and his family there this year.  Ashley and Brooke have been planning outfits and things to do for over a month.  They had lots of clothes to share and even slept in their own tent.  I guess they think they are getting big or something.  This group of girls on the other hand are never going to grow up!  They have such crazy love/hate relationship.  Someone is always mad at someone. 

They are just all very strong willed girls and always the boss at their own individual houses which makes it IMPOSSIBLE to get along!  They did better this trip, so hopefully they are growing up a little bit.

The party moved to the reservoir to boat and bake in the sun.  We had a good time, the water was nice and shallow so the kids were in all day.

Rett even found a watering hole to cool off in!  He played in here until I couldn’t stand the dirtiness anymore!

It was a great trip and we had lots of fun together!

Family Vacation Saturday

We all stayed the night out at Grandma’s in our tents, it was fun for us all to be able to stay together.  We drove out to the Shoshone Ice Caves Saturday morning where we met up with Jake and Jessie, they got to spend the rest of the day with us it was nice.  I'm not sure the ice caves were the best idea for 23 little grandkids, but no one fell in the icy water so that was good!  We took some pictures while we waited for our tour to start.

We went back out to grandmas for lunch and games after the caves.  It was nice to just lay around and relax a little.  That NEVER happens on Grandpa’s farm, it is always work, work, work!

We played some minute to win it games.  I know the favorite one was trying to get the Oreo from your forehead to your mouth not using your hands!

We had to do some baby comparing too.  This is Rett next to baby Paxton, they are about 2 months apart (I think)

And then Kyler, Rett, and Paxton, and soon to be Jen’s little princess!  She will be the same age as all of these little boys!  Poor thing!

 

It’s amazing what a difference a year makes, Rett and Kaleb are exactly a year apart!  Kaleb wanted to pet all of their heads.

We concluded most of our Activities Saturday night, but of course had to go back down for Sunday dinner.  The kids played SO hard, they were so exhausted and ornery!  We still haven’t quite recovered from all of the play!

Family Talent Show

We had a talent show Friday night of the family vaca.  It turned out great.  Our kids did a pirate tune.  Ash played the piano and the other kids sang, Ashley organized it all, she did a good job, they were cute.

Claire and Jaci sang Praise To The Man.  They did excellent, they have the BEST music leader in Primary!

We had such a variety of talents in our family, it was great!

Telford 2011 Reunion

This year we stayed home on the farm for our family vacation.  It was fun to have everyone come to Grandma’s house (maybe not so fun for Grandma) but fun for the rest of us! We spent the first afternoon in Arco working in Jared and Jenna’s yard.  They have a beautiful house and yard, but it has been a rental for quite a few years now and no one took care of it.  It has some great landscaping and trees and bushes but they were all wild and un kept.  Pretty overwhelming for anyone, let alone a young couple due with their first baby!  SO we went and worked and worked and got a lot done, not all by any means, I wish we would have had more time.  All of the kids tried their best to work, but there was lots of fun to just play with cousins too.

What a hard working family!  I'm so glad everyone was so willing to work during our “vacation.”

Getting Ready!

We have been getting ready for our Annual Telford Reunion.  Ryan and I are in charge this year, I think, I KNOW, I like them better when we are not in charge!  Anyway the kids were just thrilled with all of the fun not normal purchases we made, like soda!  Woo hoo!

They made all sorts of pyramids, towers, and queens chairs out of the soda, silly kids.

Over-Nighter

We got to go with Ryan to some potato meetings this week in Pocatello and stay in a ………..HOTEL………..!!  Almost as fun as Christmas!  The kids were so excited!  We didn't  do anything but swim, swim, swim!  It was fun!  I had to take dozens of pictures of every little trick, I'm surprised I don't have a sore neck from keeping my eye on EVERYONE!  Here go Ash and Emma!

Claire stayed right on the stairs until the second day she wanted to venture off a little more.  I was not wanting to jump in and save her very bad, it was only 3 feet deep most of the pool, and thankfully no one had to be rescued!

Except Jared: I thought this was funny, Jenna is “saving” Jared, they didn't know I took this picture of them,  just like a woman to have to save her man!  HA!

Ashley and Emma learned how to flex while we were there, it was quite entertaining!  Emma is one buff little girl!
