Like Pulling Teeth!

Emma and Justin both have some teeth that have just been dangling!  Emma’s teeth are full grown underneath so these baby teeth have to come out!  We told them last Sunday that they had a week to get them out.  A week goes by really fast sometimes!  I made (tried to make) them tie floss around them and just thought they would play with it and they would come out.  My plan didn’t work.

He didn’t touch his string all day, and even figured out how to eat with it hanging there.

Emma would not put the string on so we gave her two minutes in the bathroom by herself and she popped it out!  (Ryan and I were in a parenting dilemma the entire time.  I looked at him and mouthed do we force her to do this?  He shrugged his shoulders and said I don’t know what to do?  We told them they had to have them out so we thought we better follow through with our threats, although we really didn’t want to!)  It worked out in the end.

Emma’s tooth was like a mammoths!  It had some super roots!  And it was super disgusting, she hasn’t brushed it in like two weeks and we could tell.  She was gagging over it!

Justin just kept whining about the string and his tooth hurting so he got close to me and I yanked on that string and out it came!  That is the first tooth I have ever pulled, (I am not a fan of tooth pulling, or mouths really in general) he wasn’t to happy with me for a minute, but he was smiling the rest of the night.

Emma Takes Center Stage

Emma wanted to put on a play of her own last night. (at school they are doing a play) It was quite interesting! Ryan's comment was someone needs some attention! I think he was right! It was a musical, she danced and sang making up the words as she went. Justin and Claire got to dance a little, (Claire was holding the barbie toilet clapping with the lid the whole time, it was fuNNNNY! I was the lucky one called from the audience to join her on stage, so fun!

Flying kites in Idaho

Kite flying has never worked very good for us, you would think with all of the wind we have it would be perfect, but it is a very inconsistent wind, I have noticed especially when we are trying hard to make kites fly. When the wind finally did pick up it came with a BIG rain storm and we got soaked trying to get the kites back down! Oh how fun!
