Sisters Shoes

Rett loves shoes, he takes after his mother.

I went to buy some easy slip on shoes for Claire for school.  I needed a pair for Rett also.  Both pairs were on sale more than I thought they were which was great, and then I had some “cash” on my membership card so they ended up costing .84 cents.  I had a dollar in my wallet, but it somehow was no longer there when I went to check out so I was going to use my debit card for .84 cents.  The cash register lady didn’t like that so I pulled out the 4 cents I had in my wallet and she made up the 80 cents!  I was so surprised, not only did I get two pair of shoes for 4 pennies, this lady did a really nice thing for me.  I think she just thought Rett was really cute!  Anyway it was very nice of her.  I need to pay it forward!

Rett’s Follow Up.

Rett went back for a follow up appointment, everything looked good.  His lungs sound clear, which is really good.  The Doc just encouraged me to keep him from getting sick, easier said than done.  We have been staying home a lot.  After his appointment we went to get a few groceries…. four carts and two hours later…

I haven't been grocery shopping since before Christmas so we were a little low on things.  Hopefully we can “hibernate” a little longer now.

Albertsons trip

This really probably isn't blog worthy, but I am short on exciting posts this week! I had a really discouraging trip last week and was ready to throw in the towel! My husband wouldn't allow it though so I went back to Albertsons again this week and I did pretty good, it isn't much, but it didn't cost much either: I got 9 items total cost:$3.12

It was enough to get me excited about it all again. I just have to take this couponing thing slow, I will get it figured out yet!

I'm figuring it out!

My coupon shopping is getting better, it isn't so crazy and scary anymore. I have gotten myself and my coupons organized a lot better and so today went really smooth. I also didn't buy a TON, so that helps too, I am not PROFESSIONAL by any means, and I am sure there are better deals out there, but I think we did pretty good today, check out my finds! (and all my hard work!)

Smiths: I spent $15.07, and saved $35.24, That is a savings of 71%, not too shabby!
Yeah, we like brownies.......

Albertsons; I spent $36.38, I saved $107.25, check out that loot! The table was almost full, just room for the girls in back. They really liked to organize all of the groceries for me, and they even write the date on them and put them away on the shelves too! I love having big girl helpers!

Here is my shopping list, I finally have it like I like it. I have it all added up so I know pretty close (well really close, just minus the tax) to the amount that I am going to pay. I was really glad today that I had this because my Smiths bill came up to over $30, so I asked them to go over it with me and they did, happily I might add, and we figured out what went wrong and then they made it right! SO, I was happy with my trip this week, but I am going to take next week off, the deals aren't that great next week anyway...... This may seem like a funny thing to be excited about, but I have worked hard for this and am excited that I can finally do it, and a little bit excited about all of the savings too!!

Old Navy Coupons

So the coupons are on this website www.oldnavyweekly.com (It is also on my side bar under other fun sites), ANYWAY on Thursday nights (or really friday mornings) the site is changed each week. It usually happens about 3:00am Eastern time, (so like 1:00am Idaho time). So I just set my alarm to get up and you have to "find" the coupons. You will have to go to the site to see what I mean. This week I guess the "BIG ONE" was in rating the kids outfits, you had to do it in Alphabetical order, then the 75.00 coupon came up. It is kind of a tricky little site, especially at 1:00am, but I am really thinking it is worth it, I cant wait to use my coupons! SO I suggest if you are wanting to get in on it then go to the site and just click around, most of the good coupons are already gone, they went in like 20 minutes seriously, and the BIG ones were gone in like 5 minutes, but just go to the site, click around see what you can find. Where ever my mouse turned to a finger I would click to see if it is a coupon or not. I am debating on getting up next week or not, those big ones went REALLY fast. We will see! Let me know if you need to know more.

Did you get one?

Old Navy coupon that is.... I set my alarm and got a $50 off of $100, the $75 off of $100 ones went REALLY fast, and then the $50 went fast too. I cant believe I think I have enough energy to get up in the middle of the night to search for coupons, It was kind of tricky, that hummingbird flew FAST! Did any one else stay up late? I don't know if I am going to do it again next week or not...what do you think? I cant wait to go shopping! I got a couple of other ones too, but I don't think I can combine them, but I'm still going to try!

Days full of Living

We have been on the go around here lately, It has been a good busy. Ryan had an Elders Quorum party on Friday night, we had tacos and played around the world (ping pong) and had a Foosball tournament. Both Telford Family favorites. It was fun but I was sorely disappointed that we didn't win the tournament, which is really no surprise!

Saturday Ryan and I spent together in Burley, that was different for us, we just did some shopping, he ran parts, whenever someone would call him (which is all the time....he is always on the phone) He would tell them that "we are just shopping" It sounded so funny coming out of his mouth. I am pretty sure that he has NEVER just gone shopping, EVER. He waited for me to try on clothes and everything, weird I know. Anyway it was a fun day for me!
Sunday was nice, I love Sundays, they are my favorite day of the week, Ryan made a chocolate cake and Bobby and Sara came over and brought Ashley a birthday present. It is so nice to be close, I have said that a hundred times, but it really is fun to live close to family!
Monday was coupon shopping day, I have been stocking up on so many things, Monday was pasta, it was .50 cents a bag, I have a good little supply now. I am really getting into my coupon shopping, hence the reason my blogging is slacking, I spend all my Internet time trying to find good deals. Ashley took this picture of me stocking my new shelves downstairs. ( I have also been slacking in the picture department, I think that is why Ashley was taking pictures, the camera is a permanent fixture in my hands usually, but not this past little while. I am glad Ash is willing to take over for me!)

Then my latest and greatest calling; Enrichment leader, we had our Relief Society Birthday dinner yesterday. Busy week for our Ward.... We had an EXCELLENT lesson on the history of our ward relief society, I loved it. The women were so creative and fun, even back in the old days! What a legacy they have built in our ward of service and compassion. I am grateful to be a part of it! I had lots of help and the dinner went well, I felt really prepared thanks to so many. Sara helped me get all of that food ready and we had a good time experiencing how to make taco salad bowls out of flour tortillas. We had lots of compliments. So I was totally prepared and on time and the kids were all arranged and I thought, how can this all be happening so smoothly, I must be forgetting something, yep, sure enough when I got up to give my talk I realized I had forgot it at home! I found it still in the printer when I got home! Oh well that is another great thing about the women here, they understand and are very forgiving! It was a fun evening and I am glad to be done with it all! Now I have to really focus on Ashley's baptism next Saturday! It is already here! I cant believe it! I better get a move on I have loads of laundry to be put away! Happy days!

Coupon shopping

So I started on the latest trend in grocery shopping, have you heard about it? I am excited, but it can be very overwhelming, hence the reason I only went to one store (albertsons) and I only bought soup. I scored a good deal, these 10 cans cost $9.80, (after I used all of my coupons and the sale price and all of that, which is a good deal in itself, one can not on sale costs over $3.00) BUT then I got my $10.00 coupon off of my next purchase, SO essentially I made .20 cents on my purchase, cool huh! I hope to keep finding more good deals, but I am trying not to get TO carried away. There were girls in Albertsons with kids screaming and, carts full of cake mixes and coupons flying everywhere, I am trying to keep it simple without driving myself AND everyone else crazy! Fun deals! OH I almost forgot, we had TWO FREE stacks of pancakes at IHOP, didn't you know it was National Pancake Day! I love free pancakes! The good deals just keep coming!
