Going and Going

We have been at a sprint all week it seems like!  We started with Ashley’s birthday on Monday.  The girls both had auditions for the play again this year.  Justin didn’t want to do it (thankfully).  Emma got a “part with a script” and Ashley was pretty devastated for a day or two.  Ash got a part also though and did just great.

Tuesday I spent in town getting food for the annual Relief Society dinner.  Then I got back and ran the girls to and from the school.  Zumba wasn’t even an option unfortunately.

Wednesday I worked on decorations pretty much most of the day.  We put up 225 balloons at mutual.  The young men and young women helped, and lots of adults, thankfully.  Then I ran girls around between times too.

Thursday was the party.  I spent all morning at the church finishing decorating and then the rest of the day prepping food.  Sara did most of the food for me.  We served the CafĂ© Rio pulled pork salad.  It was a hit.  The party turned out great.  We had lots of people and it was fun.  Ryan ran kids around for me that night.

Friday morning we were in Kimberly at 8:00 AM for dentist appointments.  Justin ended up with a baby root canal, it took a long time but Justin was a champ!  He didn’t wiggle a muscle!  I couldn’t even believe it!  He had a great time and cant wait to do it again, which lucky for him he gets too…. boo!  He has one more pretty bad cavity that needs filled.  He watched a new Thomas movie the entire time, so I think I may invest another 5 bucks for another new one for next time.  It worked like a charm!  Claire was very impatient waiting for her turn.  She took her own Barbie movie and was upset because she didn’t get to finish it all.  She was in and out in 15 minutes.  She did so good too!

Saturday we got to stay home and catch up on house work it was fantastic!  Ryan has been super busy loading lots of potato semi’s and even starting to cut a lot of seed now.  The weather hasn’t been cooperating (you cant load seed in the rain) so it has been frustrating and slow.  Hopefully we will be able to get in our own fields shortly.  We are hoping for a slower paced week this week!

Justin created a leprechaun mask at school, we were lame for celebrating St. Patrick's day this year.  It is more fun when it comes on a school day.

The kids did another experiment.

Garden Party

We hosted a Relief Society Garden Party last night.  It was a lot of work to get ready for, but I was glad to have all of the work done in my yard.  Ryan weed wacked for 4 hours for me the other night.  We got lots of work done that probably wouldn’t have happened other wise, so I was glad to play host!

Everything turned out great, I always have that last minute feeling of panic on parties, but once it got started everything was there and everything turned out fine!

We had yummy wraps ( I got a recipe from Kristen) and fruit with the chocolate fountain (another thing from Kristen).  Then we also had icey water and lemonade.  It was all really good and Sara came to help me get it all put together.  I was telling her we need to keep track of all of the parties we have put on together, I guess I kind of am keeping track….

There were just over 20 people, which was just right, I planned on 20.

It was really low key, we just ate and had a short lesson and then watched the slide show of everyone's yards that I put together.  I think it was a hit!

We had a great evening, the weather was perfect and all of the hard work was worth it!

Days full of Living

We have been on the go around here lately, It has been a good busy. Ryan had an Elders Quorum party on Friday night, we had tacos and played around the world (ping pong) and had a Foosball tournament. Both Telford Family favorites. It was fun but I was sorely disappointed that we didn't win the tournament, which is really no surprise!

Saturday Ryan and I spent together in Burley, that was different for us, we just did some shopping, he ran parts, whenever someone would call him (which is all the time....he is always on the phone) He would tell them that "we are just shopping" It sounded so funny coming out of his mouth. I am pretty sure that he has NEVER just gone shopping, EVER. He waited for me to try on clothes and everything, weird I know. Anyway it was a fun day for me!
Sunday was nice, I love Sundays, they are my favorite day of the week, Ryan made a chocolate cake and Bobby and Sara came over and brought Ashley a birthday present. It is so nice to be close, I have said that a hundred times, but it really is fun to live close to family!
Monday was coupon shopping day, I have been stocking up on so many things, Monday was pasta, it was .50 cents a bag, I have a good little supply now. I am really getting into my coupon shopping, hence the reason my blogging is slacking, I spend all my Internet time trying to find good deals. Ashley took this picture of me stocking my new shelves downstairs. ( I have also been slacking in the picture department, I think that is why Ashley was taking pictures, the camera is a permanent fixture in my hands usually, but not this past little while. I am glad Ash is willing to take over for me!)

Then my latest and greatest calling; Enrichment leader, we had our Relief Society Birthday dinner yesterday. Busy week for our Ward.... We had an EXCELLENT lesson on the history of our ward relief society, I loved it. The women were so creative and fun, even back in the old days! What a legacy they have built in our ward of service and compassion. I am grateful to be a part of it! I had lots of help and the dinner went well, I felt really prepared thanks to so many. Sara helped me get all of that food ready and we had a good time experiencing how to make taco salad bowls out of flour tortillas. We had lots of compliments. So I was totally prepared and on time and the kids were all arranged and I thought, how can this all be happening so smoothly, I must be forgetting something, yep, sure enough when I got up to give my talk I realized I had forgot it at home! I found it still in the printer when I got home! Oh well that is another great thing about the women here, they understand and are very forgiving! It was a fun evening and I am glad to be done with it all! Now I have to really focus on Ashley's baptism next Saturday! It is already here! I cant believe it! I better get a move on I have loads of laundry to be put away! Happy days!
