We had a MAJOR snowy snow day today. Not one school in the Magic Valley was in session! I like snow days because I get to have the kids home, BUT today we really were snowed in. Usually the wind lets up and you can get out and about, if you want. I didn't NEED to go anywhere today, but the fact that I couldn't sure gives me cabin fever!
Ryan still made it out, it took him all day to take one load of hay 20 miles! YUCK! We are still hoping to be able to leave in the morning for Nevada, right now all of the roads are closed though. Ryan's parents made it Jackpot and then they closed the roads in front of them! I would be sad to spend Thanksgiving here alone! We wouldn't be totally alone, Bob, Sara and Mark and Paige are still around, but I am hoping for no wind in the morning and no more snow for a day or two so we can make it to Aprils house!
When Ryan opened the door to go out this is what we found:

Poor pup out in the blizzard, (I am sure we got more than 6 inches last night, it is hard to tell with the drifting snow.) I forgot to mention Bells got ran over the other day, it just skinned her back leg luckily, she has been really sore. Maybe she will not chase cars anymore???? I wish!
In other news the turkeys WILL be making Thanksgiving dinner after all! It was a hard task, but we got it done. I have said this before but really thank goodness that I have one little boy to take care of all of us girls! He helped me catch the turkeys and get them loaded, yes in the back of my suburban! I have just about hauled everything now! (Ryan was stuck with semi troubles and all sorts of other snowy things) So it left Just and I (and Ash helped a lot.) We (I mean Justin) captured them in two totes, (we are SO red neck it hurts!!) I put the lids on, the only problem was their tail feathers stuck out the back so we couldn't close the lids tight. Ash and Emma held them (the lids) down while I drove (as fast as I could in a blizzard, not very fast) Ryan thankfully met us at the neighbors just in time for the massacre! It was sad! I don't think I can EVER do this again! Bless those dear little turkeys!!
