Christmas Morning

We had a nice Christmas again this year.  Even though the kids are getting older, they still are NOT sleeping in on Christmas!  Ryan and I were still putting things out at midnight when Ashley fumbled up the stairs.  Ryan is a firm believer in Santa and so he did not want her to see us.  He was hiding in the kitchen, I was in our bedroom.  We hid out for a while and watched her.  She looked at her things and then just sat on the floor taking it all in.  She just stared at the shining tree and all the sparkly new toys.  She is definitely our methodical child!  She finally went back down stairs and we finished our jobs and then went to bed.  Everyone was up and ready to go at 5:30!

I always like to take pictures of the aftermath.  It’s the only time I can feel happy about a big mess I guess!

Christmas Eve

Sara hosted Christmas Eve this year.  We had our traditional Café Rio for dinner.  It is always a treat!  The kids performed the Nativity for us.  They are getting good at understanding and knowing what to do as they get older.  We were glad to not be totally sick this year, just mildly sick!  Rett had it, Kaleb was getting it, and a few of the others were coughing around.  Overall it wasn’t too bad for sickness though.

Telford Family Christmas

We had almost everyone at Grandmas house for a day.  We had a yummy dinner, stories and songs from grandpa, gift exchange, shooting, Cody’s razor rides, and good conversation.  It was a lovely day!

We couldn’t keep the boys out of Cody’s ride.  It was so fun, mostly scary, but fun!

The big boys shot, and the little’s were all lined up with bb guns shooting too!

Grandpa organized a whole program for all of this chaos!  It was great.  We learned about our family history.  It was great.

Grandma’s Christmas Day

Another favorite tradition is going to grandma’s house for Christmas dinner.  Thankfully other cousins have this tradition too.  Fun times!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Morning

Ashley was up ALL NIGHT LONG!  It was a little annoying actually!  I think next year she will get a book by her stocking and she can go back to her room and read all night instead of waking us up all night asking if its time.  Thankfully she didn’t wake the other kids, she threatened too, but didn’t.  She was ornery!

Finally at 5:30 am I gave in…..

Christmas Eve Nativity

Christmas Eve was at our house this year.  The tradition of café rio for dinner and acting out the Nativity continues on and is one of my favorite traditions!

We had donkeys, angels, wisemen, Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus.

Sometimes more than one baby Jesus?

100_2210100_2209100_2208100_2207100_2206Trying to teach our children the real reason for Christmas and the importance of Jesus’ birth and life in each of our own lives.  He is real!  He completed a great mission here on earth for each one of us to be able to live again with our Heavenly Father!  The best gift we have all been given!  Merry Christmas!
