School Christmas Parties

The school parties were wild and crazy as usual.  I needed to be three places at once.  Ashley had an away game, thankfully Ryan could go watch.  I was helping in Emma’s class and went back and forth to Justin’s class.  Rett was a wild mad man as usual, he was screaming by the time it was done.  Everything happened right during his nap time and he wanted to go out side and it was 12 degrees!  Needless to say it wasn’t my favorite party, and we were glad to get home and be out of school for a while.

Emma’s class made hats out of balloons, it was fun.

Justin was excited for his gift exchange.

Justin’s teacher included Claire and gave her this fun zebra striped blankie, she has hauled it all around since.  Jaci and Claire were in conversation here;

We are so happy to have a break for a while!

School Christmas Program

The kids had their program tonight.  They all did a really good job.

We had a rough time rounding them all up for a picture with Santa, but we got it done!

Then FINALLY Rett could run, and he did, run and run and run!

Snowy Day

Claire insisted that the weather was “perfect” outside.  Perfect for making snow angels anyway.  We dug out all of the snow clothes and headed out.  Rett lasted about 10 seconds, it was blowing in his face and he didn’t like that!

100_0795

Ryan was in the house working the books so Claire and I stayed out for about an hour creating 5 kid snowmen.  She was very serious about his whole thing.

100_0796

There they all are, from biggest to littlest.

100_0797100_0798

Sadly they all fell over before the kids even got home from school.  I obviously don’t have very good snowkid making skills?  Oh well we were wet and cold so I think it was a success!

Sunday Shots

We had a short church today.  Our heat was out again and it was really cold.  I wish they could get that problem worked out.  It is quite annoying!  We had lots of time at home which was nice.  The big girls and I worked on Faith in God, Ashley has a few more articles of faith to memorize and then she is done.  Emma isn’t far behind her.

We spent the evening over at Bob and Sara’s.  Ryan and a few of the kids hadn’t seen the new baby yet, and I forgot to take a good picture of him.

The kids were sure taken by him though and had lots of questions.  Emma loves babies and snuggled him right up.  It was a nice quiet evening.

Famous Idaho Potato Bowl

Ryan got tickets to go to the Potato Bowl on Saturday.  It was a last minute quick trip, but really fun.  I was quite disappointed when I realized BSU wasn’t playing in it… I don’t keep up on football much, well on any sports much (besides Jr. high girls basketball)  It was a great time, once my eyes could adjust to that bright blue turf.  That was blinding!

100_0782

We saw the Spuddy Buddy.

100_0784

The game was Utah State vs. Toledo Rockets.  It was fun to cheer for Utah.

100_0785

Toledo had an awesome marching band, so did Utah, Toledo’s was world famous though and you could tell!

100_0786

Half time performances!

100_0787

It was a little long and a little cold…  This helped a little bit though;

100_0789

My favorite was watching the coaches give the signals, these three guys were doing “dance routines” all night long.  It was amazing.  They would even be in sync with each other waving and dancing around.  I would easily get distracted watching them!

100_0791

It was fun to spend the day with Jared and Jenna.

100_0792

I guess this is our anniversary date because we are going to be too busy next week to go out.  It was really fun though.  We had a great time!

Christmas Dance

Ashley and Emma got to perform their dance again in Christmas attire, we were glad so we could watch them, we didn’t get to go to their last dance.  I sat there and recorded the entire dance and then went to take a picture of them at the end and realized I didn’t get any of it recorded.  I was sad!

Here they are getting ready for their turn.  (Jaci’s group was dancing, she is in the corner).

100_0780

And then the end… bummer.  Ash is on the right Emma on the left.  They did a good job.  It was pretty fun!

100_0781

Jaci had a really cute dance too.  She is on the right.

100_0779

It will be nice to have a little break from dance, but we will be ready to go again in January!

Mommy School

Mommy school didn’t quite go as well as planned.  No Rett isn’t following the crowd and growing a mustache, he is eating the markers!

100_0772

I think we better stick with crayons at this age.

100_0773100_0774

He kept pointing to his fingers (because he couldn’t see his face) and saying “no no.”   He already knows better but just cant resist eating those yummy markers!

Battle Wounds

Ashley had a rough game up in Fairfield.  I knew if I didn’t go to a game she would need me…  Rett has this nasty gagging cough (so he throws up) and I just couldn’t take him all the way up there.  (He is a thousand times better today)  Anyway Ash must fall down a lot?  I have never seen her fall in a game, but she has had a couple of burns on her knees, which I remember being normal for basketball, along with jammed fingers.  She has a couple right now and then she fell in the game twice and they started to bleed.  She came out of the game and her great coach bandaged her up and put her back in.  She really is a great person, I like her a lot.  Anyway Ash is pretty sore this morning and her knees look horrible!

100_0757

Lots of bandaids on from the game. Her friend Jamie told me that she did cry, Ash said she only cried because she didn’t want anyone to feel sorry for her, not because it hurt.  Funny girl.

100_0759

She iced them last night and this morning, she had to wear leggings to school because her jeans hurt to bad.  Hopefully she wont fall again, at least not until these have healed up.  I have to miss next weeks game too….  AND she took a shot in the game, I told her not to make a basket while I wasn’t there, but she did take a shot (which she never has before).  Hopefully Ryan can do ball game duty next week with her.

Party Time!

Justin couldn’t decide on a cake…  I really think he is lost in what he really likes, little boy things, or big boy things?  He cant decide.  So I do for him!  I saw this John Deere cake and liked it, no boy big or little is too big for a tractor cake!

100_0763100_0764

The family picture is quite interesting, as usual!

100_0765

Big wishes!

100_0766

100_0767

Ryan re-lights candles and re-lights candles.  I think growing up his family would let everyone have a turn blowing out the candles, so he does that with our kids too.

100_0768100_0769

Even the babe got to blow.  (with lots of help)

100_0770

There is that green and yellow!

100_0771

Justin had a great day and went to bed tired.  Some of his friends got him presents at school and he was pretty excited about that.  He has a really fun teacher at school and she let him pick a game to play at the end of the day.  He picked heads up 7 up, a great classic school game!  Justin is growing up fast and is trying his best to make good choices, he keeps us going around here.  I love you Justin!

Justin’s Lunch Date

I went in to have lunch with Justin.  Rett is really coughing and I debated going or not,  I’m still not sure if I should have gone or not.  Justin was happy but Rett coughed till he gagged, which caused throwing up and just like that it was over!  Thankfully Justin and all of his 1st grade buddies brought me lots of paper towels!  They were cute and very concerned.  Anyway the cooks, and helper sang a cute birthday song, it was really fun, it brought tears to my eyes, I know bawl baby.  It was really nice though.

100_0755

Justin’s teacher made him give me a hug, he wouldn’t kiss me last week, so I didn’t even ask for one this week:(

100_0756

It was fast and wild, but that is kind of how my Justin boy is too!
