Sunday at the Jensens

All the kids ready for church, lookin good!Kam, Lexi, Cole
Ryder, Ash, Summer holding Dallie, Kache, Justin, Weston, Wyatt holding Ren, Claire, and Emma.
It is so weird to have teenagers around, Lexi was wearing makeup, Kameron had a deep voice, I must be getting really old!!!Kameron, Ryder, Kache, Justin, Wes, Renton, Cole, WyattAshley, Lexi, Claire, Emma, Summer and Dowee (as Ryder calls her)I was glad to see Doug around on Sunday, some how he ended up holding Dallie during a mean game of something something on the wii. Funny how babies will sleep through all of this, and not in the night when it is quiet, silly baby!

She looks just like the Gerber Baby, she is a doll!

Ol' WYOMING!

The kids and I made the trek to Ol' Wyoming this past weekend. It was a long drive, but very scenic. You can see all of the pine trees of Yellowstone Park out Claire's window, (who by the way was an excellent traveler, I made the best $7.50 investment in Dora Super babies that she watched the ENTIRE way!) The drive was not bad at all, I guess that means we need to do it more often! We went to visit Erica's family, Cole turned 12 and was being ordained to the Priesthood. It was a nice weekend. Kiley and Jason came from Nebraska, and Mom and Dad brought Summer and Lexi from Washington. Mom and Dad also brought tons of peaches, corn, apricots, apples which = WORK! We worked all day Saturday making freezer corn and canning those peaches. We had lots of help which made it go so much faster: Wyatt taking care of all of the corn husks. The men cutting all of that corn off of the cobb. Jason, Kameron, Doug, and Dad. (I am glad I got a picture of Doug, maybe you were there on Saturday after all.......)

My one kid that helped.....My other two that did not help.....
And Claire Bear, non helper!

Ryder was helping, you just couldn't see him, every time I saw him he had corn silk on his head! Oh, there he is!

Ashley and Weston hauling those gunny sacks full of CORN!

Claire and Ryder getting ready for bed, these two really are good buddies, I even saw him holding her hand once! Fun cousin friends! We had a good productive day!

Summer days....drifting away

The kids and I were out washing the car and I saw Claire doing this:

Yes, she is drinking from the hose! Sometimes that red hair just really gets me, it looks like a pumpkin in this picture!

Emma is showing her how it is done!
There you go Claire!
Then I saw Ashley doing this:
Poor Pup! I actually think he likes the attention!
Some love from Emma too!
We like Jack!

Justins Tractor Wash Gone Bad

Justin brought his muddy tractors in the house to get washed up, which I was fine with, I actually set him up in my sink so I could keep an eye on him. I should have known better, muddy trucks stay outside for a reason! It wasn't the mud though it was the earwigs! They were full of earwigs, like 30 of them. But my family being who they are thought it was GREAT! That is until they started climbing out of the sink! Ryan enjoyed it all the most though, I am pretty sure I am married to a little boy still! He is funny! He kept telling me to come over and look at them, I just asked, is it going to give me nightmares? Then of course he had to get right back to work and couldn't help me get rid of all of them. Justin kept saying "Dad you have to be brave and stick your hand in there" (to pull out the plug) But no it was the brave mommy who flushed them all down and I put the plug in tight, they better not come back out!! YUCK!

Another Claire Bear post

I need to take pictures of my other kids, seems like Claire gets all the attention.....maybe that's because she does, not just from me but from all the kids too. Anyway she LOVES to be in the dryer, with Ashley and Emma this was so fun and cute. With Claire having the older brother she has it suddenly looks VERY dangerous to me. Ryan has come in and found her in there and I have found her in there a couple times too. I asked Ashley to go get her out one day and then I heard this loud banging, I went running fearing she had turned her on Ash was banging on the side of the dryer trying to get her to come out! Give me a HEART ATTACK child! It didn't budge Claire at all, but it sure did me! I am trying really hard to keep the dryer door shut TIGHT from now on. We don't want to see Claire "permanently pressed!"

Not a Good Sign

Our old semi broke down on Monday. The mechanic came out to look at it and couldn't figure it out so it was off to the dealership. I don't think we have ever paid to have ANYTHING towed, that was harder for Ryan to swallow than ALL the repairs were. It is running again already, which is good, we are getting into the busy straw/harvest season so we need it. Maybe I should take my suburban there to get fixed? It has been almost 3 weeks with out it and I am tired of driving a MAN sized pickup around, it is horrible to park, and I like sitting alone in the front seat, no kids trying to run the radio, and it is just not my suburban. We will be glad to get it back, if, and when we ever do.....

Giving it a try

Potty training.....again. You think we would be professional at this by now, not so. We are just beginning, nothing real serious, but she does have ONE Dora sticker on her big girl chart! Yeah Claire! She is very excited and wants to be big like everyone else at our house, we will see how long this really takes....

Yes, It's Been COLD!

It has been cold here, all weekend it was windy and cold. These were from Sunday afternoon, I knew our summery days were just going to zoom away, and they are! The weather is better this week but supposed to get cold again, with rainy wind. Here are some crazy kids:

Piggy back rides! See Ryan is wearing his coat, which really doesn't say much, but it was like in the 50's.

More work on the playground

Ryan got the old house hauled away (well his guys did most of the work, OK all of the work). Now Ryan has been doing a little dirt work, he had to cave in the old cistern (a way to store water back in the olden days) and now he is filling it in and trying to get it all leveled out. I think the kids would be happy with it left the way it is! Justin is LOVING the really big sandbox, just about every time he and Ryan go out to work he asks when he is going to build his sandbox, so he thinks this is just great! We are making good progress, I just hope we can get it done before too much harvesting gets started. We have been loving having Ryan around!

Target Practice

Some one thought it was a good idea to shoot out the windows of the combine! It was parked down along the highway (in the field) and someone came by and shot out the windows! If you look closely you can see a bullet hole (a little white spot) in the frame of the window that has duct tape on it. Crazy people! Thankfully the front windshield didn't get broken, still there was no combining to be done on Saturday. I guess that is what happens when you live in the middle of nowhere and kids (and some adults) have nothing better to do. But really, come on people!!!
