Two black eyes

In a week! I cant even remember how Claire got hers, obviously not that bad, I cant even see it on the picture! But when I came across these pictures I remembered I took them because she had a black eye......that's the problem when you don't keep up on your journal writing, I forget FAST! Then Ashley got a pretty bad black eye, it is still a little bruised under her eye. She fell on the bus, sounded like it hurt. I got mad at her for walking around while the bus was moving, she said Mom, the bus hadn't even started driving yet, she tripped over her own feet, my poor clumsy Ash! It hurt really bad, poor thing!
This was the first day, It got much worse,it was weird because it was black on her eyelid, then it moved to the corner of her eye and then under her eye, nice purpley eyeshadow!

Grandma/ Cousin Sleep Over!

We had a fun sleep over on Friday night! Grandma came to our house and all of the local cousins came too! It wasn't really planned that way but it turned out that we had all scheduled grandma to babysit for Friday night and she being the Super Dooper Grandma she is couldn't turn anyone down! So they all came to our house and ended up staying the night, we got home really late; like after midnight, so it worked out good. Not one kid even peeped in the night, they were so exhausted from playing with cousins and grandma, she is such a good babysitter! This is the kids who were left in the morning watching Saturday morning cartoons.

Sydney, Justin, Emma, Megan, Ashley, Kegan. Claire and Jerick were around too, Bob and Sara picked up their kids the night before, nice living so close! We had gone to the temple that night, we had a great time with our ward there. So nice to have a temple so close now too! WE love it!

Pumpkin Carving

We got the pumpkins carved just in time for Halloween. We tried one of those carving kits which was kind of a disappointment. They were to hard for the girls to do so I ended up carving all of the pumpkins, the girls did a little. Anyway, they were excited and we had fun. Ryan got home just in time to shut off all the lights and see them glowing in the dark, that is always fun! We got it done with no cut off fingers, most important part!

Justins funny

Yesterday while we were riding in the tractor Justin told Ryan, "That's a lot of rocks you are picking up." I explained to him that they were not rocks, they are sugar beets! We live in rocky country, but not that rocky! In his defense, they do look like big dirty rocks, he will be embarrassed about that one some day! Funny boy!

Our Days Lately

Today we got Ryan off to work before 7, the girls on the bus before 8, (the bus was a little late) and the kids and I to the church for our morning workout at 8:30. We have begun our winter work out again this year and it is better than ever! I am really excited about all of the girls who are coming; and we are strictly following the slim in 6 program, it has been really good! It occured to me today that maybe they meant slim in 6 months though, not 6 weeks, I hope not! It has been fun for me and the kids.
We are trying desperately not to get sick. I don't know why we don't let school out before the whole town is sick, instead we wait until EVERYONE has the flu, then we let everyone stay home, it is such a hard decision. I cant keep the girls home when there is nothing wrong with them, instead I wait for another kid to sneeze on them and then I let them come home and infect all of the rest of the family! I am a little upset with it all. Hopefully it isn't going to be as bad as it seems, everyone is just paranoid.....right?? ANYWAY, it has been on my mind constantly lately, then to decide to be vaccinated or not, so if I decide I am, I cant get a shot until November, that is lovely, after we already all have it...don't think that will work!
On a lighter note we went and rode with Ryan in the tractor today. He spent most of the time broken down, figures. I did pick up my grape juice that Shannon taught me how to can. It is so yummy! And Sara and I had fun learning to can it! The kids and I created a pretty sorry looking scare crow after school, he is quite pathetic, but it will have to do for this year. The kids were so worried about using Dads clothes. Justin asked if he would be mad at us. I told him they were old wranglers with holes in the knees and a shirt he never wears anymore, so he wont be mad. Justin was still worried.
I am off to Arco tomorrow to get the kitchen moving and load up some more potatoes for people around town who need them. I am also getting ready for a fun pedicure party this Saturday (@ 10 am). If you haven't got an invitation, take this as it! I am getting lots of chocolate and yummy treats put together for it, should be a fun girls day. It must be time to eat, Claire just said she needed dinner....big girl!

Sugar Beet Harvest

Is in full swing! I wish we harvested beets before potatoes, then we could actually enjoy harvest time a little bit, the way it is we are all just sick and tired of it, that it just makes it kind of miserable. We did get to spend Saturday with Ryan in the tractor. Claire found her first sugar beet, it was almost as big as her! Harvest is going really well though, the other crew just finished (Saturday) helping the neighbors with their potatoes, not a day too soon, it rained last night, not enough to stop beet digging though, which is good, we need to get it done!
Saturday night was the High Priest Group Social, Ryan was in charge, which was scary! We have never even been to one, let alone been in charge of it. He did good conducting, not a lot of people came, (I guess in comparison to others) but it was a really nice meeting. It was nice to see him in the day light! We are getting a new Stake Presidency and so all of the High Councilors are being released, Ryan is sad, he hopes he will get called right back to it, but you never know, he really likes his calling, I told him he wont keep it then if he likes it! Seems like it always works that way!
The primary program is next week, the kids all have their parts memorized, Claire can even say most of Justin's, it is cute. In sacrament the speaker quoted part of Justin's one liner and all of the kids perked up and we all smiled and laughed, because we knew that already! I was glad they recognized it.
Claire has been wearing big girl under roos lately, we have had lots of accidents, but I am SICK of diapers, so thus is the life until we figure it out, sadly it is mostly just from me forgetting to ask, you think I would have this figured out by the fourth one, not so!
The Arco house is having its kitchen delivered TODAY! I cant wait to see it all finished! It is going to be AWESOME! I need to go up and give detailed directions on how I want it all to look, I am a crazy lady that way, but I have worked hard on this and I want it the way I WANT IT! I have lots of pictures to post of the bedrooms, when I can......that reminds me..........
The internet man should be here in the morning....again. I am holding him hostage until he gets it fixed right! I am sure he will, the repair men are easy to deal with, it is just the fourteen people you have to talk to before they will send him out that I don't like to deal with! I'm keeping my fingers crossed! I had hoped the pictures would load of beet harvest but they wont, I will try again another time....boo hoo!

Emma Sings National Anthem

Emmas 1st grade class got to sing the National Anthem at a volleyball game. She was so excited, but the best part was she got to lead a cheer after they sang. What a fun teacher they have! It turned out really cute!

Claire bear and Kallee cheering too!

Fall is upon us!

The weather is definately changing! I am really glad that it has warmed up a little bit from last week. We FINALLY finished digging our own potatoes! It was an all nighter to get them done, but the guys did it! YEAH! Ryan got in bed Tuesday night at 4:30 am, I told him not to come home until he finishes, so that is what he did! Now onto sugar beets.....November cant get here soon enough! I still dont have good internet, I am so fed up with it I think I might just have to change providers, I love my cheep internet, but the price reflects the service, unfortunately. It will be a while before I get everything up to date, one picture finally loaded so I thought I better post it! Happy fall!

First Snow

We had our first snow the first of October, it amounted to a couple of inches, the kids had fun because it wasn't very cold, but still cold enough for snow, you can see the leaves haven't even fallen off the trees yet!

Poor Claire Bear was a die-hard, trying to keep up with the big kids! She came in with purple hands, she had gloves on but not very good ones obviously, I had to put her in the shower to warm them up they were so cold and it hurt so bad! poor kid
