Out and Around

One of Ryan’s pivots has a really low hanging wire.  Anyway he had me move some panels that were in the the corner of the pivot before it got there so they didn’t get tangled.  I did, thankfully.  Anyway the pivot has gone around and around this spring and not had a problem.  About the fourth time around it caught the top wire of the barbed wire fence and it pulled the pipe down and bent it all up.  You would think the fence would have broken or the wire on the pivot, but no the pipe bent down instead.  So Ryan spent the day welding it back up and getting it put back together.  He has Daniel in the bucket and Bobby helping there too.

Claire begs to be pulled around in the wagon so I finally obliged.  These wagons are not made for the farm and all of the gravel, it was a workout!

I have loved having these two home together.  I am excited to have one more school year before I have to send my red head off to the Tiger school.  They are becoming such fun friends.

Hop 2 It Field Trip

Justin and Emma got to go to Hop 2 It for scoring well on their tests.  It was fun to be able to go along and bring Rett and Claire too.  They went to the park afterwards for lunch.

Toes in the Sand

I have put little brother in the sandbox before and he did not like it at all.  This time he LOVED it.  He played for 20 minutes filling up the dump truck one handful at a time.  He was pretty cute.

He finally decided to head over to the trampoline.  He loves it too.

It will be nice when he can walk so he doesn’t have to crawl all over the gravel and pokey grass.  We have been loving the warm weather.

Cheer

Ashley and I went to scope out cheerleading.  We had decided we weren’t for sure going to do it, we were just checking it out.  She was so nervous and wanted to leave.  I told her just stay by me, you will be ok.  She was the youngest, smallest, only fifth grader there so a little intimidating.  Anyway after practice I told her I think you are right maybe we should wait until 7th grade.  She said, oh Mom I just loved it!  I cant wait to do it, it is SO  much fun!!  So I guess we are trying out for cheerleader in a couple weeks!  We are using all of our resources (Aunt April and Aunt Trish) we have come up with a cheer and are practicing like crazy!  Should be fun.

The kids have been bringing their scooters in to ride on the sidewalk while we wait for cheer practice.  It has been nice weather and really fun.  Everyone loves to crawl on the rock.

Talent Show

At the last minute Ashley wanted to enter the annual talent show at the school.  I told her if she called the lady in charge and asked her she could.  So Ashley called her up and got herself and Emma entered in.  They are so lucky they just have a talent handy all the time with their piano playing skills.  Both girls practiced each of their favorite songs as of lately and did really good.

Ashley was the first act of the night.  She did really good, just a little nervous.

This was a two hour talent show, it got LONG after a while and Emma was the second to last talent.  She did really great and won third place in the instrument division.  Imagine that!

We had a fun night after trying to convince Ash that she did a great job too.  I told her “she who pounds the hardest wins.”  Which is what Emma did.  Emma played a Spanish song and pedaled the entire song.  Ashley’s was much more soft and flowy.  She said she wished I would have told her that BEFORE the talent show!  It was a great time.  They both are getting better than their Mom at piano, which isn't hard to do, but they are amazing me!

Sunday Shots: Mothers Day

We spent Sunday afternoon at Grandma Telford’s house.  It was fun to have most of the locals there.  You think we would see each other more often, I think the men do, but the girls and cousins don’t get together enough!  We had a great dinner provided by all and it was fun to enjoy the weather and visit.

The kids sang Grandma some primary mothers day songs before she opened her presents.

Megan organized a pedicure party for all of the moms.  We each got our feet massaged and toenails painted, it was a fun treat.  I think the girls enjoyed doing it as much as we enjoyed getting it done!  They were cute.  It was a great Sunday.

Mothers Day

Ryan and the kids spoiled me with fun treats and garden hoses this year for Mothers Day.  It was fun.  I love all things sour so each kid got me  a sour treat.  They were so excited for themselves!  They all brought me treats and cards from school too.

We had to have a contest with those sour war heads.  Claire had some of the best sour faces EVER!!

She couldn’t stand it, but wouldn’t take it out.  Justin wouldn’t keep his in, it was pretty funny!  I just love my little family and how they all want to take care of their Mommy!

Rett

Rett is getting to be a pretty fun little brother.  He entertains us continually!  He thought he was so cool in Claire’s super cape.  He crawled around in fast, fast speeds and had a big cheesy grin on the entire time!

He also got a new hat that he just LOVES.  He tries so hard to keep it on, but likes to look at it and then tries to put it back on himself. 

He is really thinking about walking now.  He stands up and just laughs and lunges forward with out moving his feet.  He is going to be walking before we know it!  He is such a fun boy!

Jensen Cousins Visit

We got a visit from our cousins this week.  It was great!  We love all of those big ol boys around!  They got here Wednesday afternoon and had to leave early Thursday morning so it was quick, but we are glad they came!

The best part of their visit just might have been all of the help from those big boys.  They were willing to help us do our chores and move lines.  It made it go really fast!

We are lucky to live on the path to everywhere it seems like.  I love that we get visitors here and there just passing through, it is great!
