Sunday Dinner

We spent Sunday Blessing Cody and Whitny’s baby Traygen.  We were glad they made the trip over to have his blessing.  We had a nice crowd and also celebrated Brookie’s 12th birthday at the same time.  That is quite a group!

Braden and Justin are fun friends.  They wrestle until they get hurt and then wrestle some more.  They do good not getting mad a each other.

And seem to think they are pretty hot stuff, I agree!

Another Egg Hunt!

Uncle Cody and Aunt Whitny were in town for Easter so we got together Saturday night to color and hunt eggs with them.  Claire got her egg hunting clothes on?!?

Ash took lots of pictures of the eggs, but none of the kids hunting them!  We had Sara and her kids over to hunt with us too.  It was great fun!

Sunday Shots

We got to have everyone over to our house Sunday after Stake Conference.  Cody and Whitny took a break from honeymooning to keep the tradition of opening their presents with the family.  I am glad the humored us, it was kind of them!  We (especially the kids) LOVED to watch them open everything.  They are such a great little couple, we are excited for them to be together forever!

We were tired after all of the busyness of the days with cousins and sacked out for the evening on the couch, check out all of those kids we have!

The Reception

The reception turned out great.  The decorating was really nice.  We used the same lady that did Christine’s reception too.  I love the “tent” it really helps to soften and disguise the gym.  Her colors turned out really nice too.

The kids clothes turned out perfect.

Cody with the parents!  Shannon’s dress turned out really pretty too.

We were sad not to have Jake there,(he travels a lot!)  but look at that handsome group!  That’s a lot of babies!

I attempted some family pictures, it was a nice attempt…..

Oh well, maybe next time!  I have so many pictures from the reception so I am going to spread them out over a couple of posts.  What a great celebration!!!

Cody and Whitny!!

Cody and Whitny were sealed November 4th in the Twin Falls Temple!  We are so excited for them, Whitny is a great catch!!

103_1525103_1526

They did everything just perfect (in my opinion)  We stayed in the freezing cold for maybe 15 minutes to get a big group picture and then went to the wedding luncheon.  They were so considerate (and smart) and took all of their pictures the night before so we didn’t wait a minute for them (out in the freezing cold) and they were out of there before most of us were!

The luncheon was fantastic.  We had a Thanksgiving meal, which was HUGE, and very yummy!  Then they had a really fun tradition that each of the siblings got up and told a story about Cody or Whiny from their growing up.  It was really fun, we enjoyed the teasing and reminiscing.  It was a great idea!  I only took one picture of Christine sharing, (Rett started getting fussy after that.)

103_1527

They also had a really nice slide show for us.  Cody of course had the BEST photography and videos, the videographer even put together some awesome shots from the temple and from their pictures that night at the reception.  Some people are SO good at what they do, it all turned out really good!  It was a great day! (It all was really nice to have a fun date to the temple with my husband!!)

Almost Ready!!!

I'm too busy to be blogging, I just cant stand that I haven't all week!!  We are getting all the finishing touches done for this wedding and reception!  We cant wait to be with family this weekend and to get our special Uncle Cody all hitched!!  I have been gathering shoes, dresses, ties, etc. today we have an early morning tomorrow so I needed to get it done today.

103_1522

Must keep busy or I wont get it all done!  {Ryan finished digging all the sugar beets last night!!  Even the neighbors!  I don’t think there is one person he knows who has any left to dig, I’m pretty sure he called them ALL!  SO there is nothing he can do but park his digger for another year!!!  He had his annual stomach ache this morning and slept in really late, but is back to the grind this afternoon.  We are so glad to have our Dad back!!}

Whitny’s Bridal Shower

The Telford women (and Whitny’s Mom) got together to shower Whitny this afternoon.  (We did feel a little low on numbers, we missed the sisters who live far away. They will be here next week!)  Jenna organized the entire shower and it turned out perfect!  We met a Johnny Carinos which is a favorite, favorite of mine!  Jenna had been there early and decorated our table in Whitny’s colors, it was so elegant with the black and yellow.

She even had name cards for each of us, I have NEVER had one of these before, everything was just perfect!  (she even made yellow suckers, she has been busy!)

103_1465

Sicily got to sit next to me, when she was sitting of course!  Claire Bear got to spend the day at Grandma Violets, which was really fun for me and her!

Snowmobiling

Cody is home from college so that = snowmobiling AS. MUCH. AS. POSSIBLE!  Ryan doesn't seem to mind.  They were all hooked up and headed out by 8:00 AM yesterday morning.  The weather was perfect on top!  Justin was devastated not to get to go.  I haven't even considered that a possibility till now.  He doesn't just want to just go, he wants to DRIVE!  Oh dear, what have we got started???  Ryan has lots of rides promised over Christmas break!

Pack Trip

The guys always try to sneak in a pack trip up to the mountains before harvest starts.  This year was no exception.  They had a great time, it was uneventful, which I am always thankful for!  I'm not to sure about all of the pictures because I wasn't there, so I will do my best!

Cattle Drive

I need to think of some new names for my many cow posts.....any ideas??

We pushed the cows up the road on Monday, they were quite parched after the day of walking in the heat, but we had to get them to water, so they had to move on, poor things. The kids love cattle drives, this time especially. Uncle Aaron put Emma on the four wheeler for the first time ever! She did good, she also didn't know how to shift it out of first gear, so she was slow, which was perfect for her and her crazy mother! Ash drove a little too, when Emma would let her. Justin also learned to drive from Uncle Cody, so fun having all of these uncles around to teach my little babies all of these big kid things. The red head stayed in the suburban with me, everyone is sun burnt, except her, I wouldn't let her out of the shade. We had the ice cream and popsicles flowing, it was a warm day! We like working with our Dad, and uncles, fun, fun times!
