Johanna’s Birthday Party

We got to host Johanna’s party at our house, it was great!  Jo is such a good girl and a great friend!  I hope she had a happy day!

We had a house full, which was really nice.

Laurel, Janet, Michelle, and Auki

My big kids were down at Grandma Telford’s playing with cousins so I only had Rett and Claire to contend with, it was nice and I had a great time visiting with everyone.

Puppet Show

Bret and Jen came through and brought us a fun Christmas present.   They were on the way to Island Park for Christmas with Jen’s family so they stopped by.  I only had Rett and Claire home so we got in a few shows.  Rett like playing peek a boo!

We have had dozens of shows already thanks Jen for your handy work, we love it!

Safety Zone

There is NO safe place in our home any more!  Little brother is into EVERYTHING!  I was relieved to be able to put him in the walker so he couldn’t get anything in his mouth until he figured out how to unload the garbage can!

There is no such thing as completely baby proof, at least not with this baby!

Ashley’s New Toy!

For Christmas Ashley got a new sewing machine!  We have LOTS of big plans now!

We already have it all set up in the sewing room ready to sew its first PINK stitches!

Sunday Shots: Christmas

Ashley and Emma both got pink bb guns for Christmas.  Aren’t we raising such well rounded girls!  I don’t know that the guns will ever get used much, they are pretty girlie girls, Ashley doesn’t know why she would need one because she is NOT going to shoot anything.  Emma already has a small list of things (birds) she is going to shoot.  I think she will learn a valuable lesson IF she ever connects on one of her shots!

It was a funny story because Ryan and I both decided we would wait until Ashley’s birthday in March to get her a gun, and Emma didn’t need one yet at all.  Well we both couldn’t resist the pink guns and bought them separate and didn’t tell each other until we were wrapping them on Christmas Eve.  We both laughed!  I’m so glad we stick to our decisions!

The girls got purple Christmas dresses, Justin got a new suit that fits really nice, he is so handsome, and I made the boys new silver ties, Rett already had a Sunday outfit.

I wanted some good pictures so bad, but didn’t get one.  I was sad we couldn’t even sit through 4 pictures, we are pathetic!

Oh well, maybe next Sunday?  Probably not!

Church was nice.  We had lots of Christmas music and two really great talks by Brother and Sister Ward.  I loved both of their messages about Christmas.  The Primary kids sang Picture a Christmas.  It was excellent services.

Christmas Morning!

Even the baby got dragged out of bed at 5 AM, he was as excited as the rest of the kids kicking and cooing all around.  Im not sure who got him out of his crib, but he was out checking everything out before I got up!  He was back asleep by 7 AM though, lucky kid!  He got a big blue ball and a new tractor.

Emma got a baby doll, she has tricked multiple people with its “realness.”  I told her I would NOT buy her a baby doll, but I guess Santa had other plans?  Good thing she still believes…. sort of.  She also got a magic 8 ball she had really, really, been wanting.

103_1850

Ashley got her very own sewing machine!  This will be so nice to have!  She also got some fabric for her first sewing project and she and Emma both got PINK bb guns!  Much to their brothers dismay!

103_1851

Claire got mega blocks, paper dolls, and a Aerial doll.  She is way into Aerial right now, must be the red hair?

.103_1852

Justin got a marble game, a new suit, and an Lightning  Mcqueen Appmate for the ipad.

103_1853

Emma was easily distracted by everyone else’s gifts that it took her twice as long to open her own, it seemed like Emma got WAY more than everyone else, which she didn’t, but she and the other kids thought so, what can ya do?

It was a great Christmas, I tried not to go overboard like I sometimes can.  I thought Ryan would be happy with that but even he was asking where all the presents were!  I think we just really don’t need any more STUFF!  Maybe I should be saving my true opinion for another post, I don’t want to ruin Christmas!  It couldn’t have been better.  We are once again truly blessed, and spoiled!

Neighbor Grandma and Grandpa

I always have a hard time coming up with something productive for us to do when we are out of school so many days before Christmas.  We can only clean so much, at least that is what the kids tell me!  We went up to see Grandma Violet and Bill Coffey and take their Christmas presents up.

We love having them so close, we also love to just pop in on them and spend a couple of hours.  It is always a fun visit.

Stuck

Little brother got his overalls stuck on the corner of the door.  He was wedged in for a while before we realized he was really stuck!  What else can he wedge his little body in?

Kids School Christmas Parties

I was pretty much too busy running from class to class to take many pictures, but the kids had a great time.  I forgot Rett’s stroller so I wasn’t much help as a room mom, anywhere!  I love the class parties but by the time they are done I am tired from all of the running!

103_1843103_1845

Ashley asked for Monopoly for Christmas and she got it at her gift exchange, she was SO excited!

Tiger School Christmas Program

Justin’s Kindergarten class sang Frosty the Snowman so he had to wear his boots and gloves.

Even the police man came and “stopped” them!

103_1826

Ashley’s class sang It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year, she is in the green jacket. ( I took horrible pictures this year!)

Emma’s class sang I’m Getting’ Notin’ for Christmas.  She had told me that she had a main part, but I didn’t really think anything of it.  Well they sang the song and then at the end she took the microphone and sang a solo!  I had no idea she was singing a solo!  She did great, her voice was clear and pretty!  It was really out of character for her, she sings very quiet and does not like to be in the spotlight, we were excited for her!

103_1829103_1830

She had a “black eye”

103_1832

This poor kid cant stand to sit, he wanted to crawl away all night! and he has a nice little boogie up his nose!
