Tayson Turned Two!

We celebrated Tayson's 2nd birthday Sunday night. He is such a cute little man, he was too busy to want to open presents and he kept saying no when we asked him if it was his birthday, what a silly boy! He is so blond, I just love his hair! The group picture.

We still had our fireworks so we decided to finally set them off, (we couldn't do it in the Mountains on the 4th). They really weren't a big hit, almost all of the kids got burned by the sparklers, Jaci asked every time if this was one we should close our eyes on? Maybe they will enjoy it more when they are bigger?

Family Vacation At Lagoon

We got to spend two days at Lagoon this year. One day just isn't quite enough to get to do everything. The kids and I stayed in Utah while Ryan ran home for a day to check things on the farm then he came back to go to Lagoon again. We have a great time at Lagoon. Our kids are just big enough to do most all of the rides, Ashley and Emma are little dare devils, surprisingly. They went on all of the BIGGEST rides multiple times with Ryan. Justin and Claire did every ride in kiddie land over and over. I liked the kiddie rides better myself. I did go on the super roller coaster Colossus and went upside down twice in a row. I have never been so scared I was unable to scream before until I went on that ride! I was scared, luckily it is really short! I spent the rest of the time on the lady bug drop and the little swings, more my style!The whole group after rattle snake rapids, we were soaked!
This was the beginning of day 2 at Lagoon. Claire fell running into Lagoon (both days) the second time she hit her forehead too, she re-cracked open her knees and we had blood on us the rest of the day! Poor clumsy girl!
Ash and Brooke in matching outfits, Ashley fell camping and then again when she crashed on her bike so she made me wrap her leg up, it really helped actually I was worried I was going to have to carry her around Lagoon all day!
Braden and Justin. These two are good friends, there are two other cousins (Kaden and Jerick) about this same age too, they skidded their tires so much that they wore the tread off of the back tire! We tried to warn them but skidding tires is what boys do!

Family Vacation 2010

The Telford family vacation was in Utah this year. We stayed on a reservoir near Morgan UT. Between Ogden and Wyoming. It was a fun campground with lots of bike riding and fun! We went into Morgan for church on the Fourth, which was nice. Then Monday we spent on the reservoir. It was a nice day for boating. Ryan finally got to use his new boat:

As did lots of kids!

It is a fun little raft. Claire even tried to take a nap on it!

We spent all day in the water, we rented a real boat for the day also. It was fun to see everyone skiing. We had a great time! PaigeRyan Mark

Papa was caught snoozing after the long day!

Releasing The Pheasants

We turned the birds loose on Saturday before we left. Each day when I would go to feed and water there would be a few less birds, they were flying out of the top windows. So it made our decision easier on when it would be time to let them go! We had quite the adventure trying to "herd" pheasants. I have never herded anything that could fly before. We really didn't think they could fly that well yet actually. We separated out the two turkeys and left them in one side. We backed the trailer up to the door and blocked all of the gaps and holes that they could crawl through, but it never occurred to us that they would just fly out the top! So they did! Out the windows out the door, they just started flying! We only got 12 in the trailer, the rest we released at Grandpas Place. Which is fine, Ryan just had a really nice spot all picked out for them North of our house; The rest of the releasing went perfect, they flew right into the willows with out a problem. It was a fun little project, time will tell if we have actually done any good in increasing the population or not. The turkeys are much lower maintenance now, they were so funny trying to act like pheasants, when I would go in to take care of them all of the pheasants would scatter and hide, the turkeys would try and scatter and were all worried and would run right to me. Silly birds! They should be ready just in time for Thanksgiving!

All Packed Up!

We have been getting packed up to go on our Family Vacation over the Fourth. I have had a hard time staying motivated in my packing, thankfully I have Claire and Ashley to help me. Claire got herself all packed, with no help at all, I wish the rest of the packing was as easy although Ashley pretty much did the rest of the packing. We had lists after lists going. Actually when we were grocery shopping I lost my list in Costco, no big surprise, I do it too often. We had to get the majority of our groceries still so I was panicking, Ashley said "mom I copied down your hole list would you like to use my copy!" SERIOUSLY, what a brilliant daughter I am raising!!! She is SO COOL! We finished our shopping and didn't forget anything thanks to Ash and her lists!

Grandma Ruby

Today is Grandma Brown's birthday! I love that somehow Ashley started calling her Grandma Ruby. I think Ruby is such a pretty name. One of the things I love most about my Grandma is that she is so proper. She has the best etiquette and manners, and is very modest, like a girl should be. I can see where my mom learned it from! We had a fun conversation last summer about how she cant stand the word belly, it is not a belly, it is a tummy, or stomach! She is so fun! I enjoyed our visit tonight, hope you had a great birthday!

Kiley and Jason Visit

On Wednesday afternoon Kiley and Jason came back through on their way home. We got to spend a little time with them this time. (Last week they came in at 1:00am and were gone by 8:00am). I have liked being on the path between Nebraska, Wyoming, Oregon and Washington. We live in a good spot! We have enjoyed lots of family and cousins already this summer. We haven't had more than two days in a row with out company, which we all love! Last week Sara and I planned a little party with a hot dog roast and slipnslide, but since Ki didn't make it until late we just did it with out them. This week they made good time so we could party with them. We had a great time!

The boys did most of the sliding, it really wasn't that warm.

Ryder is still trying to get brave enough;

Then all I got a picture of were his feet! Here are a couple more of the rest of the night;
