Sunday Shots

Ryan and the kids went out to move the line, I love that he does that for me on Sundays.  Ash and Emma tried to move one side by themselves but it ended up in a pinched finger and lots of crying.  Imagine that!

After Harvest NFR Party

We finally got our after harvest party organized.  We ended up coming to our house to watch the rodeo.  Everyone was able to come and it worked out great.  We had lots of pizza and salads and yummy desserts and popcorn.  We have so many kids!!

In true Las Vegas style we had a “betting” table. Everyone got to place one bet on each event. Sara was the big winner!

The kids were really good, I was worried about the normal running and destroying, (which is usually led by my own kids) but they were all really good and had a great time.  Everyone for some reason ended up in our bedroom, Ash and Kegan needed a quiet place to “work” on the computer and the rest of us migrated in there too, except them men of course who were glued to the tv!

It was a fun time, I am glad that we all like to play together as much as we like to work together!

Moving Cows

Moving cows is a family affair around here.  We had to move them three times on Friday.  Once to the dairy and then we split them according to how they were bred and then back to the pastures they needed to be in.  Thankfully we had a lot of help besides family members.  Some of them are a little short to be much help!

All the kids like to run behind the cows, but they got a little tired and needed a ride.  Uncle Bobby stopped right in the end gun and got them all wet!

Claire Bear and Jaci ran hand in hand most of the way.  They are best cousins.  Tayson kept up too.

We LOVE Rainy Days!

It is so nice when it rains (well it has to rain ALOT for Ryan to quit working)  And it did!  He still spent the morning at it but we got him for the afternoon!  We took the girls out of school and went to Hop 2 It.  They were all so excited, we haven't had a family outing for quite a while so it was time!  The kids, and Ryan had a ball, I thought I could do more, but even if I had wanted to I CANT jump with a baby in my tummy.  I got to take lots of pictures instead!

Ryan just BEAT the kids down in this fun “jousting” arena.  They loved it, until they got hurt of course!

He is thinking he is pretty cool here, the kids could barely lift the things let alone swing them and hit him with them!

The girls did beat their dad in a race down the slides, I think he was stuck in his slide.

Justin LOVES baseball, he begs me to play with him EVERY DAY so this was perfect for him!  The ball floats up on air and then he hits it, he totally hit a Home Run, I never could make it in any of the holes.  He had swung so hard in this picture that he was facing the opposite direction!  I need to get one of these so I don't have to try and “pitch” to him for hours!

We had a great time and are not happy to send Ryan back to work.  Winter cant be here soon enough!

Full Weekend

We had a full weekend, it turned out really great though!  I put on a bridal shower for Danielle, (a girl in our ward) and had to get all of the food and everything done early Saturday morning.  Thankfully my girls are getting to be such big helpers, they were helping with the fruit pizzas here, while I was finishing getting ready, it is SO nice!

My babysitter fell through so I had to take all of the girls with me, Ryan took Justin to work, so we had to have hair and everything done early too.  Thankfully they get up early pretty easily.

The girls had a party of their own to go to (half way through the shower).  They got invited to Kasey’s Tea Party.  It was a HIT!  My girls LOVED it.  Jolene always goes all out, and this super fun tea party was NO exception!  It was so cute!

They had a blast, I was thankful they had a place to go for part of the shower.  Sara helped me out a ton too, she ran the girls around and brought me all sorts of things that I forgot at home, besides helping me decorate.  I don't know what I would do with out her!

We had a few people at the corn maze Saturday afternoon, it was raining and cold so I was glad to get to stay in.  Some of my girls came though, Danielle, Johanna, and Angie all came and tried out the maze, it felt just like old days when they would all come over and hang out at our house, they are growing up and getting married, or are already married, it is crazy!

Ryan even came home early, it had rained a little, but I think he, and his crew just needed some time off.  We did finish our own beets though!  YEA!  We are done harvesting for the year!  Now he is just helping a neighbor get his beets out.  Hopefully only a couple more days now!

Double Rainbow!

We had a double rainbow!  It was so pretty!  It looked like it ended right on top of our house too, we thought that was pretty cool!  We went out to help Ryan put a new sprinkler package on a pivot and it was raining a little and then they came out.  It was so pretty!

We had to cross through a little “river” to get back out, are we the only farmers with RIVERS running through our ground?  We didn't have anything like that growing up, we made it through safe and sound!

A Ride On The Big Green Tractor

OK, so it really was a big red tractor, but it was the only way to get out to the pivot point with all of the mud!! We went out to help Ryan hook up some fertilizer in our corn field, look at how tall it has gotten. It really is a fun sight. Emma thought it would be to squishy so she stayed at the house.
