Diaper Changer

Ashley changed her first diaper yesterday!  I didn’t even ask her too.  I could get used to this!  (just maybe not on my bed)

Swim Lessons

The kids have started swimming lessons this week, the first day it was perfect warm weather, today it was canceled because it was too cold, hopefully the weather will hold out these next two weeks. 

Claire Bear LOVES it, she is one of my little fish!

Justin isn’t so fishy, but he does like swimming lessons.  He was glad that they haven’t put the diving boards back up from winter because he does NOT want to jump.

Ashley and Emma are in the same level with Emma’s friend Serena, only three girls, it is great, I think they will really improve this year.  They loved being together and are both doing great!

Best Ever!

I found this Swaddle Me (we call Rett’s snuggly) and it has been the best thing ever! I have seen them online but didn’t like them, they look kind of like torture, but all of my babies kick out of a regular blankie around a month old and I like to swaddle them tight (for night time) I think they wake themselves up if they aren't swaddled up tight.  So when  I saw this pink one on clearance I had to try it out.  Ryan calls it a straight jacket, either way it works!  I have gone only one night with out it ( I bought it when Rett was about one month) and he woke up so I haven't gone with out it since!

He is just about to outgrow his pink one but I have seen more (not pink ones) I will have to get for him.  I wish I had this with all of my babies, it is so nice!

Sunday Shots

We ordered strawberries with our Bountiful Basket this week.  We have swimming lessons for the next two weeks so I wanted to get the jam made Saturday.  I had LOTS of help, my only regret is that I didn’t buy more, they were yummy!  Glad we could bottle them.

About an hour later Ryan was “exercising him.”  Is it possible to get TOO much attention?

He must think we are CraZY!

Then the big baby thinks she is a little baby from time to time, we just let her play and give her the attention she is looking for.  She has such a fun personality lately, Ryan and I eat her up!

And we played a little game of Life.  I actually played with the kids, it was fun, Ash got left to clean it all up, imagine that!

I had to give the lesson in Relief Society about Honoring The Priesthood.  I enjoyed studying for it and learned (or re-learned) some things.  I love going to Relief Society, everyone always gives lots of input which helps out when giving the lesson.  Ryan was on baby duty.  He did great, at least I never heard Rett crying, so I think he did great.  It was another great family day!

Rett is 2 Months Old

Rett turned two months today.  He is getting to be such a fun little guy. 

He is definitely the most popular baby in our house right now, EVERYONE loves to love on him!

I haven't taken him in for his two month check up so I don’t know how much he weighs, but he is growing!

 

He is sleeping like a champ, and very consistent every night which I love!

We are happy to have such a happy little brother!

A DATE!

It has been two months since we have “gone out”  (that doesn’t include the milkshakes at the c-store)  We went down to Twin to see the Falls and out to dinner.  The Falls always amaze me.  They are almost eerie, I was glad I wasn’t having to try to keep my eyes on all of the kids!

The Window Welder stopped us and asked if we wanted him to take our picture, that was nice of him.

Rett was excellent on his first date.  I was glad to finally get to go out, we had a nice time.  Hopefully it will be sooner than 2 more months for our next date!

Happy Birthday Dear Ryan

Ryan celebrated his 34th birthday today!  He got a new barbeque grill that we opened last week while we had company.  The kids were excited to shop for and wrap his other presents.

He got a new shirt, a horse magazine from Justin, two belts, and his favorite Dove chocolates.  Sounds pretty spoiled to me!

I wanted Ashley to light the match, how many parents do you know encourage their kids to light matches???  I am thinking it is time that she learn how to do that, I'm pretty sure she is trustworthy too.  Funny thing is she couldn’t get it to light, Ryan lit it and handed it back to her to light the candles, such a girlie girl!

I didn’t even attempt a home made cake this time.  First time EVER that I didn’t make the birthday cake, look how pretty it is!  I think we may have just started a new tradition!

A Cousin Party

I forgot to post these with the last post.  Bobby and Sara were instructing the Etiquette dinner so there kids came to our house.  Kaleb fell asleep in Retts chair.  He is getting to be such a big monster baby!  He is so fun and into everything!  He loves Emma and followed her around most of the night!  She is a good helper!

Everyday Day

We finally had a non windy day yesterday, it was still only 65 but it feels warmer since it has been so cold.  Claire Bear was trying to hose everyone down.  She got in the mud and I did hose her down she took it like a champ and thought it was funny, here she is trying to get me back:

 

The tough boy on the other hand would NOT be hosed off, he is not to get in the mud anymore until he can take his hosing!  We will see if I stick to that! 

The worst part about his playing in the mud is he took out his motorcycle that makes a revving sound.  He got too much mud and water in it and it wouldn't stop revving, very annoying!  It stayed outside until the battery finally died.  Ryan couldn't figure out what the noise was when he got home it was funny!

Ashley got invited to go serve the mutual kids at their etiquette dinner.  She thought it was fantastic!  She can not wait to get to go to mutual!  She is growing up faster and faster every day!

Thankfully Emma isn't growing at such a quick rate, thankfully….I think!?

Claire Bear has on three pairs of jammies.  She came across the too little clothes pile that we send to Dallie and she wanted to wear all of the jammies at once!

Home Alone

Claire and Rett didn’t get to ride with Ryan to work today.  I realized this is what it will be like in the fall when all of the BIG kids go to school.  It is so quiet!  Claire and I did the giant puzzle that Grandma brought and she is showing her matching Mr. Frumble book.  I think I could get used to this quiet!

I'm sure Rett can will be happy to stir up some noise for us!
