We spent part of day two out in the Gyser Basins of Yellowstone. We had full, full days. We spent hours at each stop and hiked every trail that could be hiked. The girls wanted to go around the entire basin, so we did. It was pretty cool, but really stinky!
This gyser could shoot higher than Old Faithful, but it wasn’t consistent, so you never knew when it would happen.
She couldn’t stand not touching the water to see if it was really hot, it was warm.
More of Gyser Basin.
A mud pot.
It was a pretty good hike, we actually didn’t do this side, we were done in from our two miles on the other side.
Next stop was Mammoth Hot Springs. The kids hiked hundreds of stairs! This was a pretty cool rock.
Lots of stairs!
The view from the top! You could see down into the little “town” it was pretty. There are army barracks that people live in now down in the trees.
I thought it was snow when we first drove up, but I think it was limestone. (according to the boy who gave the report on it)
Tabitha, Randa, Ashley, Torie, Sydney, Yadi, and Emilee.
We did end up seeing a bear this evening, it started raining really hard but the kids (and some adults) braved the rain and went to see the bear, it was a cub.

My favorite part of the day was the Traditional, Parents vs. Kids football game. The weather was beautiful, the grass was green, we had to kick some elk off the field and they laid down near by to watch. It was quite fun, and of course the parents won, only because we cheated though! What a fun day!
