I have the girls in dance class this year. It has been so fun to dress up in skirts, leotards, ballets, and tutus! I think I like it more than they do!
They have their first performances this week!

Ashley really wanted to do a baby shower for Aunt Sara so I helped her get it together. We had a fun time with both of our families.
We ate, played a few games and then had a few gifts, gift time is always popular with the kids!
Jacii and Claire.
Kaleb sharing his prize from one of the games.
Justin and Tayson got cap guns for their prizes (this obviously wasn’t a traditional baby shower) Check out those mean faces!
Now we just need a new baby to arrive!

I dread bed time every night, it is just so much busyness all at once, and usually I am the most tired and cranky! I tuck the boys in first, Justin is very routine and does the same thing every night, I just supervise a little. By the time I answer his million questions Claire is usually already up in her bed. Last night I caught her saying her prayers all by herself, and not laying down in her bed! It was a sweet sight for sure,
(this is a re-enactment of the prayer, I wasn’t fast enough to get the camera before she hopped in bed)
And just like that the sweet moment is over:
She was rolling all around and being her crazy normal night time self! Oh Claire!

Justin came home from school with this awesome piece of work. It was a poster of nouns, people, places, things, and animals.
I especially appreciated one of his special “things,” a drawing of Uncle Kollin’s grave. Or what he thinks it must look like.
I am happy that the kids know that he is special to me and our family. Oh how I still miss him.

We made a birthday party out of the weekend since we had April here, and Tyler and Lain came over also. It was fun to play and play. April got one of those huge Costco cakes and it looks tiny compared to the crowd! Grandpa was also released as Branch President, which he was very sad about. He wasn’t quite ready for the change.
I am not even going to attempt to name everyone, I will spell them all wrong for sure…. but maybe I better for posterities sake though. Here it goes.
Front row, Kalee, Megan, Jaci, Claire, Sydney, Alaina, Sicily, Kaden, Brooke, Kegan, Jerick, Grandpa, Cedric, Jessie, Tayson, Ash, Kaleb, Bobby, Corry or Koby.
Back row, Rett, Ryan, Me, Paxton, Mark, Justin, Paige, Emma, Kyler, Lain, Tyler, Shannon, Brookie, April, Sara, Des, and Aaron. 38 in all, we were missing 4 families too!
Grandpa, Cedric, Tyler, and Tayson it took them all to blow out that huge candle!
Rett love the camera and says a really good cheese!
Grandpa being wrestled.
He was telling a story and Cedric kept doing summer saults on him. Grandpa never skipped a beat in his story.
It was fun to have so many here to help celebrate a little early!

Pretty much as good as Santa coming to town! April and her girls came for the weekend. It was fun to have a good excuse to get together a couple different times during the weekend. We spent Saturday night at Sara’s house with Chili, scones, and hot cocoa per April’s request. It was perfect fall food.
Claire, Cedric, Kalee, and Kaleb.
Brooke, Jerick, Justin, Kegan, Ash.
Sara and Bobby, April photo bombing!
Aaron and Des
The BIG cousins, Jerick bombing in the background.
Wrestling buddies.
We had a great time getting together.

We were excited to get to go to the temple open house. I remember a tiny bit about going when it was originally built and dedicated in the 80’s. I was really excited to take the kids and show them where Dad and I got married. It was a really special experience for us. The temple is beautiful! I love all of the new renovations. It looks fantastic!
Rett was very concerned about Moroni.
Rett was so cute with his little booties on, that is the one thing I remember about going to the temple all those years ago too was those funny booties on my feet.
We had a great time and a great trip to Grandma’s new/old house! It is going to be so nice to have her living so close!

Some friends of ours hosted a BIG Election day party. Sadly things didn’t turn out quite the way we hoped, but the party was still fun! We had to have our picture taken with Lady Liberty! Deanna’s décor was awesome!

I had to take a picture of these two together. They are exactly a year apart, Rett has always been so tiny compared to Kaleb. Now that they are getting bigger they are getting to be the same size.
They are fun cousins!

I some how have been roped into giving back/neck/face rubs to the kids every night. Since Ryan has been around at bed time he has been helping with the chore. He likes to have a little fun with it obviously.
Can you even tell which kid it is?
