Claire’s Birthday Continues

Sunday we had cake and ice cream for Claires birthday.  It was a Chocolate cake with pink polka dots, minus the pink polka dots.  I wasn’t very organized, the kids kept asking where the polka dots were, oops!

Gotta love that 4 year olds grin!  This was her “BEST birthday EVER!”

Claire is 4!

The Red head turned 4!  We celebrated all weekend long!  Saturday morning she had her birthday pancakes.

She has the BEST expressions!  It is so fun to watch her open presents, everything is the BEST to her!

A GREAT BIG La La Loopsy!  She already has a little one and has been wanting a big one.  The big girls loved this as much as Claire.

Emma to the rescue.

The loot, she got some dora nail polish and chapstick that she plays with the most.  It has been in my stash for a while and she knew I had it so I think it was the most anticipated.  What a funny girl. 

She stayed in her jammies almost all day and just played and played.  She told me she was going to be four and I told her she was four now.  She got so excited and ran to tell the big kids that she was four.  She came back and told me, now I am going to be five!  For real!  Cant we stay four a little longer!?  She is such a fun little girl.  We love our Claire Bear!

Red Neck Traffic Jam!

The neighbors cut their corn field on Friday just south of our  house.  It was really fun to watch and they did it really fast!  They had four big choppers and 20+ trucks.  They chopped the whole pivot in one day!  They were changing sides of the field and had a big row of trucks right in front of the house.  We liked watching them.

Harvest is definitely in full swing for everyone!

A Night At The Movies!

We invited Grandma T to come with us to the movies Friday night for her birthday and Claire’s.  We  went to the Smurfs.  The kids liked it, the adults didn’t.  I thought it was going to be like the old Smurfs, but it wasn’t. 

We had a good time anyway, and Claire loved getting to go to the movies for her birthday.  Grandma spoiled us with lots of popcorn and candy to eat, what a fun treat!  Rett did ok, Grandma jumped at the chance to take him out when he got fussing, yeah the movie was that good!  We love it when we get movies in our little theater, we cant resist!

Kindergarten Field Trip

Justin’s Kinder class got to come out to the potato field and glean potatoes.  It is so fun for the kids to get to come to their own farm for a field trip.

This kid got off the bus and took off running with a couple of little friends following.  He just ran and ran, I was yelling into the wind and he didn’t hear me, or said he didn’t anyway so I had to run after them.  I finally caught him and told him I was going to have to spank him in front of his friends and then he started to cry.  I told him not to cry in front of his friends so he stopped and I thought that was punishment enough. 

Not so though, we got back to the group and he took off in the other direction leading the same couple of boys off.  AHHH I was so mad!  I hope he doesn’t go running off on every field trip!  I was frustrated and ready to go home and Justin spent the rest of the time holding my hand.  I hope he survives school without his mother chasing him around everywhere.  Crazy kid!

This Weeks Busy Busy.

We have been busy this week but nothing real fun.  We helped Ryan move potato equipment down to the farm and had to pull big awkward conveyers and stuff down the highway.  We spent a little time with cousins.  I also got those peaches canned, I do not like to can, it is such a pain!  I am glad it is done.

We are trying so hard to get on a school schedule with not much success.  Everyone is pretty much tired and grouchy every day after school. I have got to be tougher with bedtime.  We forgot to do some home work one night, which makes the morning not fun!  Emma will be sure to check her planner from now on, I hope!

Ashley has her nose in a book 20 hours a day I think.  She is such  a book worm.

We are creating messes constantly cutting and gluing anything we can get our hands on. 

Emma dressed Claire and fixed her hair this week also. 

Since Claire got her hair cut she has tried to cut it herself twice this week.  She only got a little snipit of her bangs thankfully.  She is not convinced it is short enough.  I told her only Aunt Paige cuts hair, I hope she will leave it alone for now.

We got to meet Whitny’s mom this week and have a crash course wedding plan.  It was fun to talk about colors and all of that.  I cant wait to have a great party after this harvest is done!

Football

Justin was out playing football with himself.  The girls say this is what he does most recesses too.  He is backed all the way to the fence and is going to run and kick that ball!

He is such a boy. 

Sunday Shots

Justin helped me take the Sunday Shots today.  Emma would not be photographed.  I think everyone had a busy weekend and was too tired and grumpy. 

We had some yum brownies and ice cream for our dessert.

It was the Primary Program today in church.  The kids all did well on their parts.  Emma got to do an extra part for a little girl who wasn’t there, she liked doing that.  Claire did her part LOUD and CLEAR, just like I told her to.  Justin said his part like he was running a race, I missed the last few words of it.   Ashley did good too.  Ryan had to speak in Sun Valley and missed it all, he was really sad, this is always his most favorite Sunday.  We are not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow.

Girls Weekend (or 24 hours)

I got to go away for the day and night to Utah to see Jane and Liz from high school.  We had intended to stay the night in Park City but we didn’t want to drive all the way up there so we stayed in Lehi/Provo/American Fork.  I’m not really sure where we were the cities down there just all merge together.  It was only minutes from both Jane’s and Liz’s houses.  Jane’s husband Darin made fun of us, he said yeah I hear it is nice this time of year in Lehi!  He was funny.  We first went and had a hot rock foot massage which was awesome, then I went and got my toe’s glittered.  I am excited to see how long they stay looking good.  Then we ate and shopped the rest of the time, with minimal sleeping and lots of laughing!  Rett was the best little boy ever!  He traveled so well for me and the girls snuggled him up and loved on him too. 

We kept forgetting to take a picture so then when we dropped off Jane and Liz, Darin took our picture for us.  Jane’s little girls were too cute not to include!

It was once again a great trip.  I cant wait until next year, and we really missed our Mikaela, it was quite mellow and too quiet with out her!

Claire’s FIRST Hair Cut!

Claire Bear got to go to Aunt Paige’s Salon and get her hair done last week.  She was so tickled!  She wanted it cut REALLY SHORT.  I didn’t want it cut really short but we told her it looked really good an really short and she loved it.  Paige always does a good job and we got to play with Sicily!

I also got my hair cut REALLY short, I am still not sure about it. I have lost so much hair after having Rett that I have kinda thin bangs.  My hair usually doesn’t start growing back until about 6 months, it better!
