Emma’s class traveled all the way up to Boise to go the the Peregrine Fund Birds of Prey Museum. It was a really great time. We had a fantastic tour guide who kept us busy with interesting facts for hours! The worst part was the weather was terrible, freezing, snowing, blowing, so we didn’t get to see the outside birds much, and the big Condors not at all. We did learn a lot and had a fun time though. This is Emma’s class learning about the Peregrine Bird.
He brought out this Peregrine Falcon named Jess for us to see UP CLOSE, it was a little too close for me when it tried to fly away!
Emma of course loved the stuffed birds as much as the live birds.
Emma and Serena.
A feather from the bird Emma researched. It was a Turkey Vulture, and she was our favorite bird there. She came right up to the glass to see the kids, she was quite social, and she loves pink and sparkly things, how could you not love that!
This was a pretty hands on museum so there were lots of fun things to try on and do.
I was really glad to get to go with Emma (I want to say the girls because Serena is one of mine too). We had a fun day together!
