Company!!!

Kiley and her kids rode on over to Idaho with Jason.  Jason went hunting with his dad and brother and Kiley came to see us!  We were so excited to get some company.  We went non stop for 3 days, haircuts, crafting, shopping, eating, we did it all!  Sara and her kids came most of the time too.  It was fun to let go of a schedule and just play with cousins.  I didn’t take any pictures besides Sunday.  I was just too busy having fun!

We even managed to round up three matching dresses for the little girls, they were just pleased with that.  Ryan made sure the boys new they were all matching too, not quite as exciting.

We were happy to have them come visit. 

A Day Off

The kids had Thursday off from school so we loaded up and went to hop 2 it.  It is always a good time when we are the only ones there!  We went with Aunt Sara’s kids and our friend Jolene’s kids.  It was lots of sweaty bouncy fun!  They added a few little cars which was nice for the littles.

We had lots of pizza and a good time with friends, we love days off of school!

More Football Games

We are definitely getting our fill of football this season.  I have enjoyed watching the boys play though, and I know who is who so that is nice.  Ashley is wishing she could cheer more by the time the other girls get done with their volleyball games they pretty much only cheer for the fourth quarter.  She will cheer more during basketball which she will like.

Rett even found some dirt to drive his John Deere in.

The weather has been really nice, we had our one and only home game this week which was really nice.  I am nervous for next week’s game up in Camas, it is getting cold fast!

Claire’s Special Day

I think I am feeling really sentimental with my red head turning five.  I cant believe another kid is going to be going off to school soon.  I wanted to spend the day playing with all of her new toys and doing Mommy school which she loves.  So we did.  We put together her fun kitty bracelet,

Watched Princess and the Pop Star, worked on her school work and played in her room.

I figured the dirty house would still be dirty the next day so I didn’t need to worry about that!  We had a fun birthday day, Claire kept asking if it was her birthday all day, then at the end of the day she said she never wanted this day to end, I didn’t either!  These kids are growing up way to fast for my liking!

Claire is 5 Years Old!!

Claire had a great 5th birthday.  She woke up at 5:30, which she does and then gets in bed with me.  She saw her door decorated though and wasn’t going to go back to bed unfortunately.  The whole house minus the baby was up at 6 am to see her open her presents.  You cant help but be happy and excited right along with her.  She is a fun little girl!

Heavy, heavy hangover…..

Her very own barbie that she may or may not have already peaked on and knew what it was.  (She told me because we have been working on not telling lies, and she didn’t want to tell a lie, good girl, I guess?)

 

 

Princess and the Pop Star, just what she has been wanting.

Claire is still makes us happy every day.  She is getting a very good temper and throws so pretty good fits some days.  She is trying hard to feed her own calf and keep up with the big kids.  Her hair is not as curly but still just as red.  I had Aunt Paige trim it up because I thought maybe it would curl back up, but it didn’t.  It still has tons of curls, just not fine little ringlets like it used to be.  She is definitely terrorized by her big brother who she loves dearly, and begs for more from him, which he is HAPPY to give!

I was sad to think that this is her last birthday at home, next year she will get on the bus on her birthday, yucky, yuck!  I love my red head!

Sunday Shots: Grandma and Claire’s Birthday

Claire wanted a piñata for her birthday and I couldn’t see the fun in only having our family do a piñata so we had a big party down at Grandma’s house on Grandma’s birthday!  We had lots of cousins to party with.  Claire had asked me to not let Dad yank the piñata and I forgot to tell him so she is crying after her first swing when Ryan yanked it up high.  Surprisingly this was the only time anyone cried (about the piñata at least)

I remember two different piñata parties when all of the kids cried the entire time!  They are all growing up I guess.

It lasted just long enough for each kid to get a turn and then the birthday Grandma finished it off!

Rett is just so excited about this candle thing, we need to re-do his first birthday because now he understands it all.

The best is watching these tweens trying to light the candles and not blow them all out when they blow out the match.  Grandma requested a German Chocolate cake and Claire wanted a rainbow cake.

Claire is so lucky to have a birthday right next to Grandma’s. 

Mud

These kids have been in the mud a lot, it only took one freezing cold hosing to make them stop thankfully.  This was a mild trip out to the mud but Justin wanted me to take his picture.  Rett is the best shadow ever!  He loves to follow everyone!

Chopped!

Claire and I went to our favorite hair dresser and got hair cuts. Claire got a nice little trim and I had mine CHOPPED off!  It is so short.  I’m not ready to be this short all the time, I of course am now growing it out…..  Oh the life of a wishy washy woman!  Claire and I attempted to take a picture of ourselves, Claire thought it was pretty funny to see me run,  here are our best tries.

I’m sure I will get used to the short, it will grow back, right?

This Week’s Game

Ashley is improving with each game… ok so she has only had two, but they cheered the entire game and got lots of experience.  She is just so cute!
