Ashley and Emma Sing

Ashley and Emma got asked to sing When Joseph Went To Bethlehem for the Relief Society Christmas Program.  They did a good job.  Emma started swaying a little bit and Ash gave her an elbow, but other than that they did great!!  Funny girls!  We took a picture and then realized that Emma looked WAY taller then Ash (Emma had on tall shoes) 

So we had to re-take, now E is just a little taller.

Crazy girls!  (We had to use the Senior Center because our Ward building heat was broken).  We had a large turn out and it was fun.

That’s What Big Brothers Are For!

Justin got Rett hooked up to his tractor and pulled him all around the house!  Isn’t it such a good idea???  Rett thought so!

Actually it kept them both entertained for a long time, too bad they were totally in the way!  Oh how fun to have a big brother!

After Harvest NFR Party

We finally got our after harvest party organized.  We ended up coming to our house to watch the rodeo.  Everyone was able to come and it worked out great.  We had lots of pizza and salads and yummy desserts and popcorn.  We have so many kids!!

In true Las Vegas style we had a “betting” table. Everyone got to place one bet on each event. Sara was the big winner!

The kids were really good, I was worried about the normal running and destroying, (which is usually led by my own kids) but they were all really good and had a great time.  Everyone for some reason ended up in our bedroom, Ash and Kegan needed a quiet place to “work” on the computer and the rest of us migrated in there too, except them men of course who were glued to the tv!

It was a fun time, I am glad that we all like to play together as much as we like to work together!

Rudolf and Her Elf

Claire keeps herself entertained all day long!  She was showing me her dance to Rudolf.  She made it up all by herself!  It was a crazy dance!  Imagine that!

Little brother just keeps rolling around to keep up with her, maybe he will get up and crawl one day… or maybe he doesn’t need to.  He gets where he wants to go in his own way!

More of Emma’s Birthday

We had to go try out Emma’s new scooter, it was a FREEZING day though so we didn’t last long.  We don’t have hardly any sidewalk at our house, nor a driveway, or paved road for that matter!  So we go into the church when we need some real riding!  We picked up Serena on our way in to ride around with us too.

Justin’s bike had flat tires, of course and he doesn’t have a scooter (yet) so he rolled around on his skateboard. 

Claire Bear was there too, but must have gotten back in the duramax with me by this point, it really was cold!

That night we had a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting (so like me) and Claire’s pink polka dots!  Emma is lighting her own candles!  WOA!

Emma’s Birthday Morning

Emma is 9!  She jumped out of be bright and early, which she doesn’t normally do, ready to open those presents!  Ryan likes to torture so we ate breakfast first and then got down to business!

Emma is so just like me, she picked out all but one of her own presents.  She does not like surprises, and wants to know every detail of what is going to happen.  Watch out though if things don’t go as planned!  She has been wanting glasses, so we found some cosmetic only ones.  Ryan thinks we are crazy, who would want to wear glasses for fun???  Emma!  (and Just, Claire, Ash, and even me when I was a tweenager)

Don’t I look smart mom?

She was so excited because now EVERYONE in her primary class wears glasses.  She only has Caleb in her class, but Brother and Sister Bean wear glasses also.  It was just so fun!  She also picked out this joke book way back in the summer and then also got a scooter, the only thing she didn’t know about!  I cant even blame her and I let her pick her own things because that is what I like to do to.

Emma’s Birthday Lunch

I went in early this week to have birthday lunch with Emma.  I love going in to the school and seeing all of the kids.  We always have a great time! 

I forgot to turn Rett around for the picture and Jaci headed out to recess before we could take a picture with her, we some how always manage to get our Serena though.  We just love that girl!  What a fun date!

A Birthday Celebration

Sara and her kids brought a party to our house this week!  Good thing I have Sara to bring me a party, present, and cake!  I was starting to feel a little sad that I didn’t get any of that for my birthday, its tough being the mom sometimes, (ok lots of times!!)  Having Sara close makes it a lot easier though!  The kids blew out my candles and we had a great time!

Putting Up Lights

I went out to water the horses and realized it was a beautiful day!  I couldn’t let it pass with out getting out in it, so we went out and put the lights up on the house.  I am still surprised at myself for doing it!  Emma and I only each got shocked once!  Claire bear got to tired and fell asleep working.

(I didn’t even have my coat on, it was like 45 degrees, heat wave!! )  We are so ready for Christmas!  (and the weather is back to freezing again!)
