One of the hydraulic lines in the dam has a small leak. It is causing a lot of pain for Ryan and the canal company. The reservoir had to be lowered a lot to fix the problem. They lowered it and still couldn’t get the problem fixed, so it has been lowered even more. It is so sickening! I haven’t ever seen it so low. Hopefully the problem will be under control quickly so we can start collecting all of this moisture.
That is the “cage” that the water goes into, I have never seen it before, it is always way under water.
We rode up with Ryan to check it out and then waited for him while he had a board meeting in that tent. It was pouring rain.
This is the opposite side of the dam, all of that water pouring out as fast as it can go to lower the reservoir down. So sad.
We have fished this side of the reservoir, we stood in the rocks to fish. That puts in perspective how low it really is. We are very nervous about our water supply next year. Hopefully it snows a lot in the mountains!
