Peanut

Ryan is famous for his (after) Christmas presents.  We wanted to get a horse for Emma for Christmas but couldn’t ever find a good kid horse that we wanted to afford.  This pony came on craigslist and Ryan couldn’t resist.  He tricked the big kids into a trip to pick up new calves to feed.  They were ho humming around mad about feeding calves in the winter.  They were pleasantly surprised that it was a pony instead!

They sent me this text on the way home.

Ashley was about the only one that could handle him that day though.  He is an ornery Shetland.  He was nervous though, and you can see the horses were curious and wouldn’t leave him alone.

 

Hopefully Emma will take to him this spring.  Ashley does not like horses, Emma does, but Ashley isnt scared of them like Emma??  Crazy girls!

Claire of course loves all animals and is equally scared of all animals!

I thought his poor little legs were going to buckle under Ryan!  He is a fat pony, but not quite tough enough to hold big people!

The boys had nothing to do with him.  They like ponies with wheels!  We named him Peanut, wasn’t that the name of Bowen’s pony?

Pocatello Trip

The kids love to go to Pocatello for an overnighter.  Ryan goes to the potato schools and we come the last night and stay with him and go to the Ag show.  Rett was so excited, he wanted a map to see where Pocatello is.  He was an excellent backseat driver!

Justin and Rett found this Polaris car? and had to have a picture to send to Uncle Cody.  The Ag show is always a fun treat.

But the best is swimming and swimming in the bear hotel!

The pool has this waterfall with a bear up on top.  The kids love it. We stay the same place every year, the past two years we have rented a sweet so everyone has a bed.  It is much nicer not to cram into a regular hotel room.

The kids!  Marks family, Jareds family, Aaron, and Mike were also there.  It is like a mini family reunion!

We are already looking forward to next year!

Snow Angel

Claire checks my phone minutely for the weather.  She wants it to snow and snow!  She would even come up in the middle of the night to see if it was snowing!  She wouldn’t look outside, she would just check my phone.  She knew hour by hour what it was supposed to be and was not happy if it wasn’t snowing like it was supposed to be!  She is not an outside girl but will stay out for hours in the snow!

Wynn’s Toe

Wynn got a hair wrapped around his third toe one day when we were shopping.  Luckily it had a little hair ball attatched so I saw it when I took his jammies off to change his diaper.  It didn’t hurt him, but scared me a little.  He is so tiny!

First Smiles

Wynn is such a happy boy!  I just love it!  When he does cry the kids ask me, why is he crying??  We arent used to him crying so when he does it is really troubling to them, and annoying!  Thankfully he rarely ever does.

Wynn got this cute sweater and bow tie from the Sutters.  He looks so cute!

All ready for church!

Rett

Rett has turned into a cute batoot.  He has been so fun since I have had Wynn, I should have had another baby years ago!  Wynn was crying while I was trying to get Rett dressed.  Rett said, “maybe he wants his own mom.”  Im pretty sure he knows he is our baby, but that doesn’t mean he wants him to stay!

I love these two little boys!

Feeding Cows

I volunteered myself to help Ryan feed cows.  He does not like feeding, I love feeding off the back of the pickup.  It is so fun to see all the cows line up and to get to do “easy” work with Ryan.  Plus I get a little break from the kids and house.  Ryan drives by the house to the cows so I hop in and go.  I can leave Wynn with the girls since I am just down the road.  Works out great!
