Rett’s Seat

Rett is getting so close to being able to sit in his Bumbo chair.  That will be a nice milestone!  He is finally holding his head a little better.  He is definitely not like Justin, Justin held his head up from birth!  Rett is more like the girls were in physical development which is OK with me.  He is content just to sit on my lap and look around, Justin has NEVER sat still still to this day!  We sure are enjoying this little brother!

Strawberry Picking

We made it down to the strawberry patch in Jerome just before they closed for the season.  The strawberries were small, but they let kids come in the last few days so it was worth the trade off to have my helpers. (I do see now why they don’t let kids in the patch now though!)  We had a great time, the kids never complained once and Rett slept in his seat the whole time so it was perfect!  We got four gallons and we were done, I would have liked more, but I didn’t want to push my luck!  The kids were quite pleased with themselves!

Claire had to pick up every single one she spilled!  She was in HEAVEN!

Claire Bear

Claire Bear is forever entertaining us!  We just think she is a DOLL!  She came out of her room with her “punchers” on and proceeded to punch us all, even me!  Little Stink!  Look at her mean eyes,

The big girls are helping change diapers a lot now (its so nice!)  So Claire thought she would change her bear, she did a great job too, she is in training!

This girl is sure keeping me on my toes!

Sunday Shots

I had to go to a visiting teaching meeting early this morning (6:45) in Carey.  It was an excellent meeting, worth getting up so early for.  I learned a lot and am going to do better on visiting.  Ryan had to speak in Carey and so we passed on the road, me coming home, him going.  Thankfully Ashley can be in charge of the kids.  She has been getting lots of practice this week.  We talked about Christ's Resurrection in Sunday School and about the responsibilities of members of the family.  Both lessons were really good.  I have been learning a lot lately.

We had a semi quiet day, all of Ryan’s cow/water problems happened in the morning so we could stay home in the afternoon it was nice.  Claire Bear was helping make the banana sauce for the crepes for dinner.

I renewed my newspaper subscription so I can get back on the coupon wagon so we get the funnies, Ash and Emma love them.

I looked out to see what Justin was doing and found him riding the sled down the steps into the garden.  Only in Idaho can you sled in July!  (in your Sunday clothes too)

103_0745

After sledding he came in wet, he decided to run through the sprinkler while he was out there.  I don’t think it is a good idea for Justin to wear Sunday clothes all day, check out that muddy/chocolaty shirt!  I hope it comes clean.

Ryan went out to move the line with the girls, he taught them to move it themselves???  I have tried over and over to get them to carry a pipe alone and they couldn’t do it, well not for me anyway.  I am excited for them to be able to do it alone, they are getting so big!

We also spent some time out on the lawn eating ice cream until the home teachers came.  It was a great Sunday!

Visitors

We had Ryan’s cousin Rebecca and her husband Marco come visit us for a couple days.  It was so fun to get to see them and get to know Marco.  We only me him at their wedding and didn’t really get to know him there so it was nice to spend some time with them.  He was SO fun with the kids, they had a great time even with his broken leg, he was great!  (and Rebecca too)

We cant wait to see them again soon hopefully!  We had a great visit!

The Garden

The garden is finally hitting a growth spurt, so are the weeds though too. I thought I better take pictures because I may not weed it again this year! Here are the beans, lettuce and one big sunflower of Ashley's growing on the end.

Bell peppers and tomatoes, I have one cute little tiny pepper, it looks just like a big one only tiny. We have never grown them before, Im excited to see if they turn out or not.

Not really sure what I have here, this is what happens when you replant in a hurry and don’t write anything down! I think it is all squash (obviously) and cucumbers at the far end.

My FAVORITE, cilantro and some more squash.

103_0729

Ashley is positive these are pumpkins, and some mix of flowers and I think more cucumbers. I needed to transplant these to a bigger space and still havent done it…

Bottle Babies

We finally got our calves for the summer, we kept saying after we get back from this, or next week when we are done with that we will get them. Well the time finally came and we got to tiny twins. They are little bitty things!

Ash and Emm feed them all by themselves, I haven't helped once! It is quite nice! They are thrilled with their new project!

Getting Bigger

Rett is growing so much lately.  During church on Sunday he rolled over from his back to his tummy  and he has done it a couple of times since too.  He is getting to be a little wiggle worm.   He has wiggled right out of his chair twice since we have been home.

103_0697103_0698103_0699

We are going to have to start buckling him in I guess!

103_0700

I cant believe that 3 months have already rolled by.  I hope he slows down his growing soon!  He is still being a happy little brother, I am so glad he out grew his monster baby stage!  We are all eating him up every chance we get!  What a happy boy!

Side Effects

We are experiencing the side effects of vacation, tons and tons of laundry and no groceries!

103_0701

I spent the day at the grocery store and the night in the laundry room.  The last batch is drying right now.  Now to get it all put away!  I still think all of the work and recovery is worth the fun vacation!  I am ready to go back to the lake already!  Do you think Ryan would let us go???

Sunday Shots

We were still in Paris for church Sunday.  We actually went to the Bloomington Ward.  It was nice, they had a lot of people there and even more the week before, I don’t know how “resort” towns keep up with all of the visitors.  The lesson in Relief Society was about how families can be together forever.  It was very appropriate for our week.  I’m so thankful for the sealing power that allows our family to be together forever.

We enjoyed the afternoon at home visiting and eating.  I love the teenagers in our family now, they are so fun and so grown up.  They spent a lot  of time visiting with us too.

103_0689  103_0691

I didn’t take a seat, swing, or crib for Rett so he spent some outside time in the laundry basket and he slept in a dresser drawer!  I didn’t have room for one more thing in the suburban so we had to get creative with Rett!

103_0692

These three are 5 years old and good buddies!  They played HARD together!

103_0693

Thankfully the Jensen boys are willing to entertain us with skits and jokes.  They are so talented!  They put on a funny skit that turned into a talent show for everyone.
