Evening of July 4th

We had a busy 4th as you can tell! The evening was just as busy as the rest of the day! After the baptism we ran up to Stanley for the kids to ride in the bike parade. It was fast and fun. I couldn't tell if we were in it, or if we missed it or what, either way we rode our bikes down the middle of main street and that was fun! Here are a couple of pictures from the parade:We borrowed a 3year old for our family picture here (Braden) Justin was NOT happy, he did not get a Popsicle after the parade and was pouting, (they ran out) this is the only shot I got of him, he was NOT a happy camper! BOO HOO!!

Then the men had to have a parade of their own,

{jared, ryan, cody, mark, aaron rode too}

Ryan was SO excited to get to ride in the mountains with his brothers! He only rides his motorcycle around the farm, he has never ridden on a track or in the mountains and his brothers are like professional riders, so they helped him catch the fever! He LOVED it! I think he will be riding a lot more often now!

Then the fireworks, there were tons, I mean TONS of sparklers flying while we were waiting for it to get dark. There were about 20 Telford cousins and then about that many cousins from Des's side of the family, so some Uncles and grandpas started a fire and just lit the sparklers right out of the fire. They were fun for the girls, until they got burned, Claire burned her finger, thumb and hand, poor kid! Emma burned one finger, but it didn't slow her down much!

Ashley just kept going and going! What a fun night!

Justin crashed out early and missed it all, we were SO exhausted from all of the playing!
We had such a great time! We had to leave right after the fireworks to get home, the only thing more sad than taking down the tent is taking down the Christmas tree! So TRUE! We were sad to leave! We could have stayed another week, it was such a great trip! Thanks Aaron and Des!

Kegans Baptism

The reason we went on the trip was to get this boy baptized! He was baptized in the Salmon River, it was really cool, and different. I haven't ever been to a baptism not in a church, It was neat to see everyone in their Sunday clothes out in the middle of the forest. It was a really nice day, what a perfect day for him to remember! We are proud of your choice to be baptized Kegan!
Braden, at the baptismClaire Bear, it was such a nice afternoon!

A day on the Lake!

We spent our last day (the 4th of July) on Redfish Lake. We had a great time, it was sandy and nice, the weather was overcast but it didn't stop the kids from getting in. It was COLD! Justin was very brave, he kept going in up to his waste, he supposedly doesn't like water though? Maybe he only likes lake water??

Ashley and Brooke headed out on the lake!

This was the only shot of Emma that I got in the boat, she is washing the sand off of her feet.

Claire's first taste of sand

She really was trying it, but only once, we LOVED the beach!

Brooke caught this huge yellow butterfly, she used the net, but then it just sat on her finger, so cool!

Jaci and Braden

Justin, Jaci, Braden. Some of us didn't even wear our swim suits, it really wasn't that warm, warm enough though I guess!

Brooke and Ashley

Justin LOVING the beach!

Emma liked it too!
All the kids posing for a picture, it is a beautiful lake, we had a great time!

Custer Ghost Town

On the Third day of the family Vacation we went to a cool ghost town called Custer, it was near Stanley. It was an old mining town that was abandoned after everything was mined out of it I guess? We panned for "GOLD" Even the guys had to try it out, everyone was a winner, we all came home with a shiny piece of glitter!

Then the kids explored around, I am not sure what this was, but Justin kept sticking his head in it, and thought it was pretty cool??

Megan and Emma In school, Justin, Jaci, and Emma.

Telford Family Vacation day 1 1/2

This year we had our family vacation up in Stanley, Idaho. Aaron and Des's family were in charge and so they had it at Des's Grandparents ranch in Stanley. It was so beautiful there.

It was so fun to spend time with our cousins, we just played and played all day every day! Ashley was especially excited to get to spend some time with her best buddy Brookie. They are such good friends. I am glad they have each other to play with and they get along really well. Here they are eating their dutch oven dinner in the climbing tree the first night.

As the night went on more and more families trickled in, Sydney, Claire, Emma

Braden, Kaden, Justin, Sydney, and Claire

Notice how dirty they are already, this was only the first evening, they hadn't even played a full day yet!

Then there were a bunch more, it looks like, Megan, Jerick, Braden, Kaden, Justin, Sydney, Kegan, Brooke, Ash, (in back) Claire, Emma, Kaylee Nichole, Alaina, and Jessie. We didnt have Jaci and Tayson there yet, or Jake and Jessie's kids, that's a lot of cousins!

Thursday morning we just hung around camp and relaxed and had nice weather, it was overcast, so not SO hot like Wednesday, but it didn't rain, which was good. Uncle Cody was giving manicures and pedicures:

What a good Uncle Cody, (he is single BTW, and TOTALLY available!!! OK not like desperate available, just available, well.....maybe a little desperate, HEY, but we still LOVE him!)

Then it was on to rides, anytime the four wheelers started up there were at least 10 kids hopping on! The dads and grandpas were good sports about letting EVERYONE ride!

That is a big load! The kids also enjoyed the paddle boat and catching all sorts of bugs, and stuff.

Were BACK!

We had a great time this week up in Stanley, we are all exhausted and ready for a week at home. Claire cried for the last hour of Nursery, Justin slept through Sunbeams, the good thing about that is that his crying woke Ryan up in Valiant 9 class! Needless to say we all had good naps this afternoon! I will post pictures when I get time, I have a ton, as usual. We are glad to be home. Summer is creeping away from me already!

A little Farmin'

I got to do a little farming this week, aren't I so lucky! Actually I really enjoyed most of it......Until we got to this part, Of course the only day I have to swathe is the day we cut the pivot with the RAGING river running through the middle it! It was a little scary, but it really wasn't very deep. Ryan is on the other side coaxing us through. I had Claire and Ash with me, Ryan had Emma and Justin with him, every time we passed each other everyone waved! Talk about a fun family night! (which I don't think really counted as a family night BUT......) I did get to swathe another field and I did the whole thing by myself! Woo Hoo! It was not as fun though because Claire and Justin couldn't decide where to sit so they were all over the entire cab! Fun times, I left Emma and Ashley home alone, I don't know if I should be announcing that, but they did fine, it was about 2 hours. They are getting too big.

In other farm-type news we got rid of a few more "yard decorations" We enjoyed many years of that old hot tub sitting in our back yard collecting mud, leaves, and mice, I was truly sad to see it go!

BURN, BABY, BURN!
We are headed out of town, up to Stanley, I say we, but I mean me and the kids. Ryan is still trying to get first cutting put up. He thinks he will finish tonight and then join us tomorrow. I hope so, I am pretty nervous to go camping alone, I think we will all just snuggle in one bed and try not to freeze to death! Happy fourth of July!
